The Remote Service Writer acts as the primary point of contact between yacht owners and the marine engineering service team. This role involves managing maintenance requests, creating service documentation, and ensuring clear communication between clients and on-site technicians.

Key Responsibilities
- Receive and review service requests from yacht owners via phone, video call, or service management platform.
- Create detailed work orders, repair estimates, and maintenance plans based on information from clients, technicians, and marine engineers.
- Coordinate schedules and job assignments for on-site service teams at various marinas or yards.
- Communicate remotely with engineers, mechanics, and suppliers to track job progress, parts orders, and project timelines.
- Update clients regularly on the status of their vessels, providing clear explanations of technical work and costs.
- Prepare digital service documentation, invoices, and warranty reports for completed work.
- Manage databases of vessel maintenance history, component upgrades, and mechanical system performance.
- Support quality assurance by reviewing technician reports, verifying completion photos, and ensuring compliance with marine service standards.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in marine service writing, yacht maintenance coordination, or mechanical service administration.
- Familiarity with marine propulsion, diesel/gasoline engines, hydraulic, electrical, and cooling systems.
- Excellent digital communication and documentation skills.
- Proficiency with remote collaboration tools and service management platforms
- Strong organizational skills and attention to technical detail.
