Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend services using Python, focusing on reliability and maintainability in a production environment.
Design, implement, and support REST APIs consumed by frontend teams and external clients.
Work with SQL databases, including query design, performance optimization, and data modeling.
Collaborate with frontend and backend engineers to deliver end-to-end features and services.
Apply software engineering best practices (testing, documentation, version control, code reviews) to produce clean, reusable code.
Participate in code reviews, proposals, and technical discussions to improve the overall architecture and quality of the platform.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, build processes, and release activities to accelerate delivering value to users.
Engage in ongoing learning to deepen backend capabilities and broaden understanding of production systems.

What You’ll Bring and Our Expectations

We are seeking a motivated Junior Backend Engineer with hands-on experience in backend development and a strong interest in building scalable services. You should have:

At least 1 year of professional backend development experience with Python.
Proven experience designing and implementing REST APIs.
Solid knowledge of relational databases (SQL) and query optimization.
Fluent or native Spanish and intermediate English for technical documentation.
Experience with backend frameworks such as FastAPI or Django is a plus.
Knowledge of Git, testing practices, and CI/CD concepts.
Basic exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) is desirable.
A proactive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow in a backend role.

Desirable Qualifications

Degree in progress or completed in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Familiarity with additional Python libraries, asynchronous programming, and microservices architecture is valuable. Prior experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and participating in production incident reviews can set you apart.
