Responsibilities and goals

  • Lead the end-to-end editing of direct-to-consumer (DTC) video assets for product launches, social campaigns, ads, and site content.
  • Conceive and implement video storytelling that communicates product benefits, features, and brand values with clarity and impact.
  • Assemble, color grade, motion-graphics, and finalize videos for multiple platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and our e-commerce site).
  • Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to translate briefs into engaging, high-performing videos, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.
  • Optimize edits for performance by iterating on hooks, pacing, and calls-to-action based on data and feedback.
  • Manage video assets, maintain an organized workflow, and ensure timely delivery for campaigns and product launches.
  • Stay current with industry trends, platform best practices, and emerging editing techniques to keep content fresh and competitive.

About the role

  • We are seeking a skilled DTC Video Editor who can craft compelling product-focused content that drives engagement and conversion for our e-commerce brand.
  • The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to tell persuasive stories through video, a strong eye for aesthetics, and proficiency with editing software and motion graphics.
  • Key duties include editing high-volume video assets, collaborating across teams, and delivering polished, on-brand content under tight deadlines.
  • Comfort with data-driven optimization and a willingness to iterate based on performance metrics and feedback.
  • Experience with e-commerce and social media advertising is highly valued, as is a proactive, collaborative mindset.

Desired qualifications

  • 3+ years of video editing experience, preferably in DTC or e-commerce environments.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects; familiarity with Final Cut Pro is a plus.
  • Strong color grading and basic motion graphics skills; ability to create engaging lower-thirds and on-screen text.
  • Portfolio demonstrating product-focused storytelling, short-form and long-form content across social platforms.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup-like environment.
  • Understanding of platform-specific formats, best practices, and performance optimization for social ads.
