Backend Developer
  • albo
  • Ciudad de México, Ciudad de México, México

albo

albo is a leading fintech company offering financial products to individuals and SMBs with the mission to bring financial freedom to everyone everywhere.

About The Role

As a Senior Backend Engineer you'll design, build, and operate the microservices that power albo's core financial products — from card issuing and authorization to credit lines, payments, and money movement. You'll own services end-to-end across our polyglot, event-driven platform, making pragmatic architectural decisions that keep money-critical flows correct, idempotent, and observable at scale. You'll work close to the domain (SPEI, ledgers, credit, authorization) and close to production, partnering with Product, Infra, and other engineering squads to ship reliable financial infrastructure.

What You’ll Be Doing At Albo

  • Design, build, and maintain backend microservices in Go and Java/Quarkus within our domain-oriented architecture (customer, account, transactional, and shared domains).
  • Own services end-to-end: architecture, implementation, testing, deployment to QA/SBX/PROD, monitoring, and on-call ownership of what you ship.
  • Build event-driven and REST integrations across services (Pub/Sub, service-to-service REST via our private-proxy mesh), with strong guarantees around idempotency, reconciliation, and failure handling (dead-letter/reprocess, no silent data loss).
  • Model and evolve data across MongoDB and SingleStore/MemSQL, keeping dual-write flows consistent between the display source of truth and what card authorization actually validates.
  • Ship through our CI/CD (Jenkins shared pipelines, containerized deploys to GKE/Kubernetes on GCP), managing configuration and secrets via GCP Secret Manager.
  • Write clean, self-documenting, well-tested code; participate in code reviews and raise the engineering bar for correctness and simplicity.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Infra/Platform, and other backend squads to break down epics into shippable, incremental deliveries.
  • Instrument observability (structured logging, metrics, tracing) and use it to debug production issues and continuously improve reliability and performance.
  • Contribute to technical design docs, architecture diagrams, and shared conventions/scaffolding that scale the team.

About You And What Type Of Skills You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
  • +5 years of experience building and operating backend services in production, ideally in the Banking or Fintech industry.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one of Go or Java (Quarkus/Spring or similar), and willingness to work across both in a polyglot environment.
  • Solid experience with microservices and distributed systems: REST APIs, asynchronous/event-driven messaging (Pub/Sub, Kafka, or similar), service boundaries, and versioned contracts.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred), containers and Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Comfort with both SQL and NoSQL data stores (MongoDB, SingleStore/MySQL/Postgres) and an eye for data consistency in money-critical flows.
  • Deep understanding of reliability patterns — idempotency, retries, reconciliation, graceful degradation — and why they matter when handling real money.
  • Familiarity with fintech/payments concepts (card authorization, ledgers, transfers, credit) is a strong plus.
  • Customer Centricity: You're customer-obsessed, constantly thinking about improving the customer experience.
  • Hands-on: We're looking for a comfortable and willing leader to be a hands-on contributor who is energized by rolling up their sleeves, making things happen, and enabling the team to do the same.
  • Done is better than perfect: As things change and move quickly, you are excited by the fast pace and opportunity to constantly learn and help your team learn.
  • Communication: Excellent ability to communicate internally and externally, quickly build relationships, and work cross-functionally.
  • Extreme ownership: You hold yourself accountable to a high bar. You are supremely organized and see what needs to happen to achieve goals.
  • Results & Data Driven: You understand the business metrics you are responsible for, and you demonstrate these insights to drive constant improvement.

About CertifyOS

CertifyOS is building the data infrastructure that powers modern healthcare.

Today, healthcare organizations rely on fragmented and outdated provider data. This creates unnecessary administrative work, regulatory risk, and higher costs across the system. We’re solving that problem.

Our API-first platform automates provider licensing, enrollment, credentialing, and network monitoring by connecting directly to hundreds of primary data sources. We help healthcare organizations maintain accurate, compliant, and reliable provider networks at scale.

Our vision is simple: One API. One provider ID. Frictionless provider data.

We’re backed by leading investors and built by a team with deep experience in provider data systems. At CertifyOS, we value authenticity, accountability, collaboration, results, and openness to feedback. We’re building a high-ownership team focused on solving real infrastructure problems that impact millions of patients.

About the Role:

As an Intern Machine Learning Engineer on a 6-month contract, you will help build, test, and deploy ML-powered services on our provider data platform. This is not a pure research role; the focus is on strong software engineering, testing, and robust evaluation rather than novel model architectures.

You will own features end-to-end by collaborating with stakeholders, implementing production-ready code, designing evaluation pipelines, and deploying services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This is a fully remote position.

What You’ll Do:

Design, implement, and maintain ML-driven services and data workflows in Python.

Apply software engineering best practices, including clean code, testing (unit and integration), code reviews, CI/CD, observability, and documentation.

Build and maintain evaluation pipelines and metrics to measure model and system performance in production-like environments.

Deploy and operate ML services on GCP, including tools such as Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage.

Troubleshoot and improve existing ML services with a focus on reliability, latency, and correctness.

Collaborate proactively with internal stakeholders across product, operations, engineering, and data teams to clarify requirements and iterate on solutions.

Communicate clearly about trade-offs, risks, timelines, and results to both technical and non-technical audiences.

What You’ll Need:

Experience as a Software Engineer or Machine Learning Engineer.

Strong proficiency in Python and experience building production services.

Hands-on experience deploying and running workloads on Google Cloud Platform.

Expertise in writing and debugging SQL queries.

Strong foundation in software engineering fundamentals, including testing, debugging, version control (Git), CI/CD, and monitoring.

Experience evaluating ML systems by defining metrics, building evaluation datasets, running experiments, and interpreting results.

Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive projects with limited supervision.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Comfort proactively reaching out to internal stakeholders to understand requirements.

Bonus Points If You:

Have experience writing code in Java.

Have built or maintained data pipelines or ETL jobs on GCP.

Have experience working with healthcare data, compliance requirements, or PII.

Have used experiment tracking and evaluation tools such as MLflow, Weights & Biases, or custom dashboards.

At EatClub, we believe restaurants and bars are the beating heart of every city's culture. Whether it's discovering a hidden gem, grabbing a late-night takeaway, or meeting friends for a drink, our mission is simple: help the hospitality industry thrive through smart, powerful tech.

Our platform helps over 4 million customers discover top restaurants and access real-time deals that save them up to 50% off the bill. We empower more than 8,000 venues to fill empty tables, increase foot traffic, and maximise revenue.

#1 app in Food & Drink and awarded Australia's Fastest Growing Tech Company by the AFR in 2025. Now is an exciting time to join our team. Initially co-founded by Marco Pierre White and leaders in the food tech scene, we're now a 150+ person scaleup that's growing fast and making waves in the industry.

Why You'll Love Working With Us

  • Uncapped commission with strong earning potential - top performers make $200k OTE
  • Leave your own mark in the Tasmania
  • Clear career progression as EatClub scales in the AU and internationally
  • Exposure to new market launches and international expansion
  • High autonomy and ownership over your territory
  • A collaborative, high-performance, results-driven culture
  • Day one territory ownership - no shadow period, no hand-holding. Yours to build from the first week.
  • Direct access to a leadership team that has launched field sales teams across multiple markets from zero.
  • Staff discounts and dining vouchers to enjoy through EatClub
  • Visa sponsorship eligibility for top performers upon successful completion of probation

A Day-in-a-Life of our Business Development Manager

As a Business Development Manager at EatClub, you will spend most of your time out in the market, meeting venue owners, building relationships, and growing the platform one partnership at a time.

Your territory is yours to build. You'll be walking into restaurants, calling operators, and scheduling meetings with the venues you believe will thrive on the platform. Some days start with mapping the neighbourhoods you want to focus on, identifying the venues that fit the product best, and planning how you'll approach them.

Most of your day is spent face-to-face with restaurant owners and managers. You're introducing EatClub, explaining how the platform works, and helping operators see how it can drive more customers through their doors. Conversations move quickly - some venues sign up after one conversation, others take a few follow-ups - but momentum matters and your pipeline moves fast. Average time from first walk-in to signed agreement is under two weeks. You are not waiting on approval chains - you close and move on to the next one.

Between meetings, you're updating your pipeline, following up with prospects, and preparing for the next round of conversations.

You'll also work closely with the broader EatClub team, sharing insights about the local hospitality market, feeding back what venue owners are saying, and helping refine how we approach new cities as we expand across the AU.

This role suits someone who thrives working independently, does not need a manager to tell them what to do next, and gets genuine satisfaction from seeing a number on a board they built themselves.

On any given week, you will be:

  • Prospecting new restaurant partners through walk-ins, cold calls, and scheduled meetings.
  • Meeting venue owners and operators face-to-face across Tasmania
  • Delivering clear, confident product pitches that show how EatClub helps venues drive revenue.
  • Building and managing a high-volume pipeline of opportunities in your territory.
  • Negotiating and closing commercial agreements with venue partners.
  • Onboarding newly signed venues and supporting them through their first campaigns.
  • Tracking pipeline activity and maintaining accurate CRM records.
  • Hitting 15+ outbound activities daily - calls, walk-ins, and booked meetings combined.
  • Knowing your numbers: conversion rate, daily activity volume, and weekly pipeline value.

Type of projects you'll be working on at EatClub...

  • Launching EatClub into new Tasmanian cities: building strong venue pipelines, identifying priority neighbourhoods, and helping establish EatClub's presence in new markets.
  • Refining the sales playbook: sharing feedback from venue owners to improve outreach messaging, objection handling, and sales conversations.
  • Supporting new city launches. As we continue to grow, you will have a chance to be part of the team that kicks off new cities.

You have....

  • A proven track record in a high-volume, target-driven role - and the numbers to back it up. Not roughly. Specifically.
  • Comfort with high outbound activity, including cold outreach and in-person conversations.
  • Experience managing a pipeline and progressing deals independently.
  • Confidence in presenting solutions and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • A background that has tested your resilience: high-rejection environments, door-to-door, car sales, sport or high-volume outbound all count.
  • The ability to tell us your KPI attainment, conversion rate, and average deal cycle without having to look it up.

It would be extra awesome if you also had...

  • Previously worked in hospitality, food tech, SaaS, or marketplace businesses.
  • A strong network within the hospitality industry.
  • Experience helping launch or grow new markets or territories.

You are...

  • Driven and persistent - you stay motivated even when deals take time or conversations don't immediately convert.
  • Competitive and performance-oriented - you enjoy working towards clear targets and seeing the results of your effort.
  • Curious and thoughtful - you ask good questions to understand how venues operate and what matters to them.
  • Disciplined in your approach - you manage your time, territory, and pipeline with structure.
  • Quick to learn and adapt - you take feedback onboard and apply it quickly.
  • Committed to building a career in sales within a high-growth business.
  • Able to flip between high-volume outbound activity and in-person closing in the same day - without losing energy.
  • Energised by building from scratch, not maintaining what already exists.
  • Someone whose first instinct when a deal stalls is to go back to basics - not to escalate.

Maybe this role is not for you if....

  • You prefer desk-based or fully remote work.
  • You're uncomfortable with cold outreach or face-to-face selling.
  • You avoid targets, metrics, or performance accountability.
  • You need highly structured days with little autonomy.
  • You're not open to flexible hours tied to hospitality service times.
  • You are looking for the stability and processes of a large tech company. We are not that yet - and that is the point.
  • You cannot clearly articulate your performance metrics from your last role.

If you're curious about what we're building, you're welcome to explore EatClub ahead of your interview. First-time users who choose to give it a try can use the code "ECAPPLY5" for an optional $5 voucher to test the experience. This is entirely voluntary and has no impact on your application or interview process.

P.S. We are currently interviewing for roles starting on August 17, and selected candidates will be expected to start on those dates.

One last note: even if you feel that you don't meet all the criteria above, we encourage you to apply. Past work experience is not the only indicator of future success, and we are on the look out for hungry talent who wants to grow with us. So if you want to be a part of something remarkable, then we're excited to hear from you.

Job Description

Join the team redefining how the world experiences design.

Hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte!

Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.

What You'd Be Doing In This Role

The Production Engineering team sits at the intersection of software engineering and the hardest reliability problems in Canva's infrastructure. At 240M MAUs, the hardest problems aren't on any product roadmap. Production Engineering exists to find them first and fix them properly. Writing software. Changing how production behaves. When it works, every team ships with more confidence and Canva gets faster and more resilient for the people who use it every day.

The strategic bet is a different model entirely. Canva's own take on what production reliability looks like, built for how we work. Senior software engineers embedded long-term in the areas that carry the most technical risk, working shoulder to shoulder with product teams, close enough to the roadmap to shape how features land in production before the problems compound. Not operationalising systems. Not running alerts. Writing software that changes how production behaves.

The engineers who do this work well have gone deep in systems most people only operate. They can walk into a codebase they didn't write, understand what's actually happening at scale, win the technical respect of the team they're embedded with, and then bend the software to make it more reliable, more efficient, and more resilient.

At Principal level, you're also the person who defines what this practice looks like at Canva. The calibration anchor for every hire, every engagement, and every standard the team sets.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Defining the engagement model: How Production Engineering pairs with product and infrastructure teams, how engagements are scoped, and what handoff actually looks like. This model is new. You're shaping it.
  • Leading the hardest engagements: Taking personal ownership of the most technically complex areas, sharding, multi-region architecture, JVM performance at scale, while the team builds depth in adjacent domains.
  • Setting the technical bar: What it means to be a production engineer at Canva. The standard for technical credibility. The archetype that future hiring calibrates against.
  • Pairing strategy across the team: Deciding how staff and mid-level engineers are paired and what they should be learning from each engagement. Growing production engineering capability across the org, not just within the team.
  • Connecting to the product roadmap: Working with engineering leadership across Canva to ensure Production Engineering is upstream of problems, not downstream. Influencing how product teams think about production readiness before they ship.
  • Building the measurement story: Incident severity and duration trending down. Feature launches going to production cleanly. You define what the metrics are and how they're tracked.
  • Compounding at organisation scale: One well-placed Production Engineering engagement changes how engineers build for years. At Principal level, your leverage is the sum of all those engagements, plus the standard you set for how each one runs.
  • What success looks like: As a secondee, developing trusted relationship with your team. Guiding them towards, shipping at velocity, with more confidence and less toil.

You’re probably a match

We'd love to hear from you if you fit one or more of these. You don't need to meet all of them, but the more the better and if you join the team, we're invested in helping you grow.

Experience

  • Production at scale: You've owned reliability in large-scale distributed systems. When things went brake, you investigate how and shipped the solution that lasts forever.
  • Technical leadership in embedded models: You've led or helped shape a function where engineers work across team boundaries rather than within a single one. You know what makes that model work and what makes it fail.
  • Hands-on through seniority: You've stayed close to the code. At this level, you're the engineer others consult when the problem is genuinely hard.
  • Cross-org influence: You've shaped how teams outside your own make technical decisions because your technical judgement is trusted.
  • JVM or systems depth: You've built real things in Java, Go, Rust, C++, or a comparable systems language at production scale. Language matters less than depth.
  • Distributed systems in practice: You've navigated sharding, replication, failure modes, and consistency tradeoffs in production.

Technical knowledge

  • Linux internals: You can reason about process scheduling, memory, I/O, and the network stack when a system misbehaves.
  • Distributed systems: You've navigated sharding, replication, failure modes, and consistency tradeoffs in production. As well as consistent hashing, leader election, consensus, backpressure, circuit breakers
  • Observability tooling: You've built the tracing, dashboards, and alerting that tells you what's wrong.
  • Containerisation and orchestration: Kubernetes in production, at the scheduler level.
  • Performance analysis: You've profiled JVM applications or systems-level processes and fixed what you found.
  • Cloud infrastructure: AWS in production, across the failure modes that matter at scale.
  • Incident response: You've been on-call and have opinions about what good looks like.

Nice to have

  • Enterprise SaaS background: You've done this specific kind of work at an org that's done it well. You know what "production engineering" means when it's not just a job title.
  • JVM internals: You've tuned GC and profiled threads in production.
  • Multi-region or sharding experience: You've been involved in a data store migration or multi-region architecture where getting it wrong was not an option.

About The Group And Team

Join the Production Engineering Group at Canva, where our mission is to make every system that powers Canva fast, reliable, and ready for the next scale. Infra owns the infrastructure layer that every other team builds on: compute, storage, networking, developer experience, and reliability.

The Reliability Platform subgroup is where Canva thinks seriously about the technical risk that comes with operating at hundreds of millions of users. It's a group with broad scope, from the tooling that helps teams run incidents well, to the engineering work that stops incidents from happening in the first place.

Production Engineering sits within Reliability Platform. A small team of senior software engineers embedded in Canva's highest-risk technical areas, working alongside the product and infrastructure teams who own those systems for a long-term engagements. When it works, other teams ship more confidently and the incidents that do happen resolve faster and hurt less.

What’s in it for you?

Achieving our crazy big goals motivates us to work hard — and we do — but you'll experience lots of moments of magic, connectivity and fun woven throughout life at Canva, too. We also offer a range of benefits to set you up for every success in and outside of work.

Other stuff to know?

We see AI as a powerful amplifier of creativity and technology at Canva. We're evolving how we assess AI skills in our Technology hiring experience, you'll tackle interactive, real-time challenges that reflect the kind of work we do. In some interviews, you may also be asked to solve a problem using an AI tool to show how you approach challenges with tech by your side.

We make hiring decisions based on your experience, skills and passion, as well as how you can enhance Canva and our culture.

Staff Software Engineer
  • Evolve
  • Remote - US
dev design embedded sys admin
At Evolve, we’re on a mission to make vacation rental easy for everyone. Our high-performing, customer-obsessed team runs on curiosity, communication, and accountability—working together to create exceptional experiences for our owners and guests. Whether solving big challenges, delivering outstanding results, or celebrating wins, we approach every day with purpose and passion. If you’re ready to join a mission-driven company where every teammate has the opportunity to thrive, Evolve might just be the place for you. Why this role We're looking for a highly motivated Staff Engineer to join our Engineering Team to help us build, secure, and scale the infrastructure that powers Evolve end-to-end. You will be a sought-out engineer for the most impactful and broad-ranging problems — from driving DevOps transformation and architecting secure, reliable systems to setting the standard for how we adopt and critically evaluate emerging AI tooling. This is a critical role where you will regularly influence the direction of platform architecture across multiple teams and domains, lead initiatives that tackle systemic tech debt, and ensure cross-functional dependencies and risks are well understood and effectively managed. If you do your best work when the problems are hard, the stakes are high, and the work shapes how an entire engineering organization operates — this role is for you. What you’ll do Drive DevOps transformation — lead CI/CD pipeline design and optimization, container orchestration strategy (Kubernetes), and cloud infrastructure reliability — establishing patterns that scale across teams and reduce friction from code to production. Champion a security-first culture — architect secure infrastructure by default: secrets management, IAM least-privilege, vulnerability scanning, and compliance controls embedded as guardrails, not gates — and hold the bar across every system the team touches. Apply AI tooling with rigor — leverage AI-assisted development to accelerate platform work while modeling the critical evaluation practices the team needs: validating output, stress-testing assumptions, and setting the standard for responsible AI use at the frontier. Own platform reliability end-to-end — set and drive SLOs/SLAs for business-critical infrastructure, lead incident response, and systematically reduce MTTD/MTTR through automated observability, actionable alerting, and rigorous post-incident follow-through. Lead infrastructure as code at scale — design scalable, reusable IaC modules (Terraform/Pulumi) that encode organizational standards, reduce toil, and proactively address broad-ranging tech debt through incremental, well-scoped initiatives. Define and drive architectural direction — serve as the primary decision-maker for platform architecture across multiple teams and domains, regularly influencing systems design and ensuring alignment with engineering goals and organizational strategy. Deliver high-leverage solutions using emerging technology — stay current with in

Senior ML Engineer
  • Clutch
  • Remote
design saas sys admin python

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior ML Engineer to be the data team's owner of production ML and AI agent systems. You'll take models from prototype to production, build and maintain the low-latency ML API that powers our Next Best Action (NBA) engine, and partner with our HAL team to ship LLM agents that turn NBA recommendations into real conversations with credit union members and partners. This is a builder's role at a builder's moment: NBA is going live, the agent infrastructure is being shaped now, and you'll define how Clutch does production AI for years to come.

About the Team

The Data team today is five people: one data scientist, two data engineers, one data analyst, and one product manager. We're small, ambitious, and shipping fast — two ML models heading to production, an ML API being built, and two AI agents (one customer-facing, one partner-facing) in active development. You'll be the senior technical voice for ML and AI engineering inside the team, and the bridge to HAL, the platform team that builds Clutch's agent runtime. Expect tight feedback loops, real autonomy, and a team that values pragmatism over purity.

What You’ll Do

Within 3 months, you will:

  • Take ownership of the ML API that serves NBA recommendations, partnering with the data engineer who's been building it, and harden it for low-latency production traffic

  • Ship your first agent tool contract end-to-end: schema design, handler implementation, structured-error contract, unit tests, deployed via HAL's runtime

  • Set up the eval foundation for our agents: golden transcripts, rubric-based judges, regression suites that run on every prompt or model change

  • Build a working relationship with HAL and become the data team's go-to on agent infrastructure decisions

Within 6 months, you will:

  • Be the primary owner (with data engineer support) of the ML API and the agent tool layer that wraps NBA and our ML models

  • Have shipped at least one production-grade agent (customer-facing or partner-facing) with prompt versioning, evals, observability, and multi-tenant gating in place

  • Define the data team's playbook for shipping a new ML model as an LLM-callable tool, end-to-end

  • Mentor the data engineers on ML/AI patterns so they can confidently support and extend the systems you own

Within 9 months, you will:

  • Operate as the technical lead within the data team for NBA production AI at Clutch — the person other teams come to when they want to understand how NBA ships ML and agents responsibly

  • Have measurably improved agent cost and latency (target: 30%+ reduction on P95 latency or per-conversation cost on at least one agent)

  • Be shaping the data team's roadmap for the next generation of ML and AI products, in partnership with the PM and data scientist

  • Help us decide what to hire next as the team scales

What You’ll Bring

Required

  • 7+ years of engineering experience, with a proven track record of building and shipping production ML systems — you've taken models from prototype to production and own what happens after deploy

  • Strong Python — most of the work (ML training, evaluation, the ML API, data pipelines) is in Python, and you're comfortable in production codebases, not just notebooks. Some TypeScript is involved for tool contracts and integration with our agent runtime — you don't need to be an expert, comfort with a second language is enough

  • Tool-design discipline for LLM consumption. Can take an ML model or data source and shape it into an LLM-callable tool with narrow input/output schemas, identity-required and scope-gated dispatch, and structured-error contracts (RATE_LIMITED, UPSTREAM_ERROR, NOT_FOUND) that the agent runtime converts to graceful tool-results instead of crashing

  • Eval discipline for non-deterministic systems. You treat evals as the unit-test equivalent for agents: golden transcripts, rubric-based judges, regression suites that run on every prompt or model change. You understand the difference between offline metrics and online evals, and use both

  • Prompt-shape literacy. You read a system prompt the way another engineer reads code: audience, register, compliance guardrails, template-var allow-list, allowed-tools section. You debug "why did the agent do that?" by reading the prompt and tool descriptions before reaching for model swaps. You've shipped at least one agent where the prompt was version-controlled and reviewed as code

  • Tool implementation rigor. You build handlers behind tool contracts with identity fields read from request context (never from LLM-supplied args), output re-parsed through the tool's schema before return, structured-error throws on every failure path, and unit tests covering both happy path and each named error. You have a story about a tool you shipped, a bug production traffic surfaced, and how you hardened it

  • Experience building and maintaining low-latency production APIs (FastAPI, BentoML, or equivalent), with opinions on serving, batching, and caching

  • Comfortable in AWS (Lambda especially), Docker, and GitHub-based workflows

  • You use AI tooling actively in your engineering workflow — not as a novelty, but as a default. You'll be expected to demonstrate this during the technical evaluation

Desired

  • Production agent observability: reading audit rows, distributed traces, per-tool latency and error metrics

  • Cost and latency tradeoff intuition in agent loops — has measurably reduced per-conversation cost or P95 latency on a live agent

  • Familiarity with an agent runtime framework (Vercel AI SDK, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or equivalent)

  • Multi-tenant agent gating experience

  • Prior SaaS and/or FinTech experience

  • Nice to have but not required: Databricks, PySpark, Terraform

Please note that this role may evolve as our business needs change, so we appreciate your flexibility and adaptability.

What’s In It For You?

  • Remote Flexibility: Enjoy the freedom of remote work from anywhere, balancing life and career seamlessly.

  • Unforgettable Off-Sites: Twice a year, bond with colleagues in exciting destinations, fostering teamwork and fresh ideas.

  • Paid Time Off and National Holidays: Enjoy 20 PTO days yearly and the National Holidays for relaxation and rejuvenation.

  • Stock Options: Joining us means having a stake in our success, so you'll receive stock options as part of your compensation package.

  • Home Office Setup: Create your ideal workspace with a dedicated budget for home office essentials.

  • Work Trip Budget: Grow personally and professionally with a budget for work-related trips and co-working.

Chief Operating Officer
  • CHRONA
  • Madrid, Madrid, Comunidad de Madrid, España
design infosec designer customer support
International technology group (multiple legal entities, distributed teams across different regions) is looking for a COO.

We are a technology company. Our primary market is the USA. We build and evolve tech solutions for complex, regulated, and operationally intensive business domains where speed, quality, security, process maturity, and the ability to adapt quickly truly matter.

We are currently at a scaling stage. Our goal is to turn strategy into systematic execution, improve operational efficiency, strengthen the People function, develop the employer brand, and drive a natural process transformation — from a predominantly human‑driven model to a hybrid operations model where people and AI tools work together, and AI operations are continuously improved, measured, and embedded into the company's daily work.

The COO role is neither an administrator nor an executor of the CEO's tasks. It is the CEO's right hand, a strategic partner, and the main driver of strategy implementation across the entire company.

The main mission of the role

The COO must help turn strategic intent into practical execution.

Your job is to regularly capture strategic input from the CEO, validate it, participate in refining the strategy, translate it into clear operational priorities, and ensure their company‑wide implementation.

Areas of responsibility:

  • Strategy execution - developing operational plans, tracking key initiatives, removing bottlenecks, building accountability. Ability to say "no" to initiatives that don't work or create distraction.
  • People, HR & employer brand - developing HR as a strategic business partner, improving hiring, onboarding, and retention. Aligning HR and PR with the company's real positioning, fostering a culture of ownership and growth.
  • AI transformation of operations - identifying processes where AI can deliver real impact, shifting to a hybrid model, embedding AI tools into HR, knowledge management, reporting, and employee training. AI must become part of operational maturity, not a standalone experiment.
  • Operational efficiency, speed & security - streamlining processes without unnecessary bureaucracy, improving cost-efficiency, transparency, and operational discipline. Identifying problems early, making decisions quickly.
  • Learning culture - building a system for continuous learning, developing key employees, enabling knowledge sharing, leadership programs - so that the company systematically grows its expertise.

Experience & hard skills:

  • 7+ years in senior operational roles in large companies (500+ employees).
  • Experience scaling an international company (headcount growth, new markets).
  • 2–3 successful change management cases.
  • HR management (goal setting, tracking KPIs).
  • Leading legal and back-office functions (document flow, contracts).
  • Collaboration with finance (opex budgeting, cost control).
  • Experience in business process automation (ERP, BPM).
  • Understanding of AI capabilities, experience in implementation and cost optimization.
  • Experience working with technical teams (development, DevOps, IT infrastructure).
  • Building learning systems, performance management, and career tracks.
  • Involvement in employer brand and internal culture development.
  • Fluent business English.

Personal & behavioral profile:

  • A driver, not an executor - initiates actions independently, does not wait for tasks from the CEO.
  • Understands the strategic context, knows how to translate strategy into operational plans and control.
  • Systematic thinking without bureaucracy - processes for the sake of results, quality, and speed, not for control.
  • Experience working with distributed teams.
  • Capable of strengthening HR, employer brand, and culture.
  • Sees AI as a real tool for operational transformation, not just a trend.
  • Knows how to constructively challenge the CEO and block wrong initiatives.
  • Focused on results, speed, efficiency, and security.

Expected Business Results

  • Strategy stops being just talk - it turns into day‑to‑day execution company‑wide.
  • The company becomes faster, more transparent, more cost‑efficient, more manageable, and more secure.
  • The People function works as a strategic partner: hiring, onboarding, retention, and a culture of accountability.
  • The employer brand is developed and aligned with the company's real positioning.
  • AI is embedded into the operating model (hybrid human+AI), measured, and continuously improved.
  • Operational processes are free of unnecessary bureaucracy, with early problem detection.
  • A culture of continuous learning and employee growth is established.
  • The CEO gains a strong operational backbone - the #1 person for strategy implementation.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior GRC Analyst to join our Security and Privacy team. In this role, you will own and grow RainFocus's governance, risk, and compliance program — maintaining our control framework, leading risk assessments, supporting audits, and driving the program's maturity forward rather than simply maintaining the status quo. You will report directly to the CISO and have significant ownership from day one.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead RainFocus's GRC program across SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and other client/regulatory compliance frameworks, including audit prep, evidence collection, and auditor relationships.

Manage and mature our control framework, mapping new regulations and conducting gap assessments.

Own the annual security risk assessment process (NIST SP 800-30 methodology), including stakeholder interviews, risk scoring, and residual risk tracking.

Maintain and update security policies, standards, and documentation to ensure compliance with industry best practices.

Partner with Engineering and Security to mature vulnerability management and secrets-scanning practices, moving these from reactive to proactive, pre-deployment controls.

Help build out and operationalize a Data Loss Prevention (DLP) program, including policy design and rollout across email, endpoint, and cloud storage.

Grow and mature RainFocus's security awareness training program.

Drive AI governance efforts — policy, tooling, and monitoring for approved vs. unapproved AI tool usage across the company.

Identify and help close Shadow IT / unmanaged SaaS visibility gaps in partnership with IT.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement risk management practices and ensure compliance across the organization.

Respond to security and privacy inquiries from clients, partners, and employees.

Prepare and present reports on the organization's security and privacy compliance status, including program maturity and remediation progress.
Stay abreast of emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is highly desirable.

6+ years of proven experience in GRC, IT audit, information security compliance, or a related field.

In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, NIST 800-series, GDPR, and others).

Experience running or contributing heavily to formal risk assessments — not just tracking a compliance checklist.

Professional certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISSP, CIPP, or CIPM are highly desirable.

Familiarity with modern security tooling such as Drata, OneTrust, Vanta, etc.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with cloud security and compliance frameworks is a plus.

Experience with OneTrust or related GRC technologies is a plus.

Personal Characteristics:

Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to adapt to change and learn quickly.

Passion for security and privacy.
