Job functions
You’ll be joining our fully remote engineering team to work on our Django Rest Framework-based backend.
As a backend engineer, you can expect to work on all aspects of our platform. You’ll collaborate with our product/frontend team as they build user interfaces and work with other back-end engineers to design well-tested and performant APIs.
Responsibilities
- Write clean, well-tested and modular code
- Designing highly scalable and flexible backend systems
- Develop RESTful APIs using the Django REST Framework
- Integrate various libraries/frameworks and APIs
- Write tests for all views, models, serializers

Qualifications and requirements
The ideal candidate
- Has 3+ years Django Rest Framework and Python
- Has experience with Test Driven Design and writing unit tests
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Ability to set and meet deadlines on time
- Minimum C1 Level English
- Must be located in between UTC-9 and UTC-3 (North America, LATAM, or South America)
Nice to haves
- Experience building payments platforms

What you will do
- Work with product managers, developers and other Quality Engineers to develop test plans for user and technical stories
- Test backend applications manually
- Develop automated tests of backend applications
- Coordinate with other teams for releases
- Document bugs with a great level of detail
- Troubleshoot issues and help on root cause analysis
- Guarantee the quality of every deliverable
- Communicate and collaborate with client teams on various topics such as requirements, releases, regression testing etc.
Qualifications and requirements
- You must reside in Latam
- 4+ years of relevant experience
- Manual testing of backend systems, using Postman or similar tools
- Proficiency in SQL
- Good hands-on experience with automation frameworks like Cucumber, TestNG and/or RestAssured
- Experience with Java
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting
- Excellent communication and collaboration
- Documentation of test plans
- Experience with different testing stages such as component testing, integration testing, E2E, regression etc.
- Collaboration with distributed teams (USA, offshore)
- Proficiency in English communication (verbal, written)

What You’ll Do
