What you will do

Position Summary

We are seeking a Sr. Security Engineer to lead the integration of security across the software

development lifecycle (SDLC). This role sits at the intersection of engineering, cloud infrastructure, and

application security, driving automation, scalability, and secure-by-default development practices.

You will design and implement security-first CI/CD pipelines, embed automated security testing, and

partner with engineering teams to ensure applications are built, deployed, and operated securely—at

scale

Key Responsibilities

Security Automation & CI/CD Integration (Core Focus)

• Embed security controls and scanners (SAST, SCA, DAST, IaC, Container Security) into CI/CD

pipelines

(GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)

• Design and maintain automated security workflows across build, test, and deploy stages

• Implement security gates, policy enforcement, and compliance checks within pipelines

Cloud Security (AWS Focus)

• Secure cloud-native architectures across AWS (IAM, VPC, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, API Gateway)

• Integrate and operationalize CNAPP/CSPM tools (e.g., Wiz, Prisma Cloud)

• Enforce least privilege access, secrets management, and runtime protections

Own Cloud Security:
Define and maintain security policies for our AWS environment, specifically focusing on containerized workloads (EKS/ECS) and serverless architectures (Lambda).

Automate Compliance: Move beyond manual checks by building real-time monitoring and automated remediation for AWS resources, ensuring we stay "audit-ready" for frameworks like PCI and ISO 27001.

Lead Threat Modeling: Perform deep-dive threat modeling exercises on applications and designs, turning theoretical risks into actionable engineering plans.

Innovate with AI: Stay at the forefront of the industry by developing security standards for Generative AI. You’ll leverage AI-powered tools to explore our attack surface while defending against AI-driven threats.

Guard the Infrastructure: Secure our Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates (Terraform/CloudFormation) and manage cloud primitives like IAM, KMS, and WAF to ensure a "least privilege" environment.

What you bring
  • An Experienced Defender: You bring 7-10 years in software engineering, DevOps, or cloud engineering. 3+ years in a DevSecOps focused role and a deep mastery of cloud security, vulnerability analysis, and incident response.
  • A Cloud Specialist: You have demonstrable expertise in the AWS ecosystem and are highly proficient in securing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and containerized environments.
  • Certified and Credentialed: You hold top-tier industry certifications (such as CISSP, SANS GIAC, or CASP) and have a firm grasp of compliance frameworks like PCI and ISO 27001.
  • Technically Versatile: You are familiar with OWASP, proficient with modern security tooling, and have the ability to secure complex API integrations and data protection layers.
  • AI-Aware: You understand the evolving landscape of AI regulations and have the technical curiosity to investigate how threat actors use AI to bypass traditional controls.
  • A Strategic Partner: You are a natural collaborator who can translate complex InfoSec projects into simple, maintainable tasks for Engineering teams.
  • An Elite Communicator: You can propose strategic methodologies to tackle legacy security debt and convince stakeholders of the business value of security-first design

    Core Skills & Capabilities

    • Deep expertise in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)

    • Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud security

    • Proficiency in application security tooling and integration

    • Experience with container security (Docker, Kubernetes)

    • Strong scripting/programming skills (Python, JavaScript)

    • Understanding of modern DevSecOps and shift-left security practices

    • Excellent collaboration skills across engineering, security, and DevOps teams

We hope applying to work with us is a great experience. We value your time and your interest! We think the best way to decide working together is first to know more of each other, starting with us sharing our online profiles.

We propose meeting a number of times, primarily online, and freely talk about you, about us, and about what we could achieve together.

As much as we would like to meet every applicant, we expect first reading about your motivation for applying, and seeing your past achievements. This should give us a chance to reply early whether we should meet for the occasion. We promise to reply to each serious application.

About the Role

Our retail platform is scaling across multiple brands and needs a senior engineer who can own a service area end-to-end — setting technical direction, writing production code daily, and raising the bar for the developers around you. As Software Engineer (Team Lead), you will serve as the technical owner for a core area of our retail service cloud, designing approaches, contributing code, and mentoring engineers while driving the roadmap from legacy replacement through new feature delivery.

In your first 6–12 months, success means you have shipped meaningful improvements to the platform, replaced targeted legacy services, and established clear technical standards that the team follows without prompting.

This is a lean team. You will own a lot, move fast, and make decisions with full end-to-end responsibility.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as technical owner for your area or service within the retail service cloud, setting architecture direction and maintaining quality standards
  • Design, build, and ship features — reading and writing code daily alongside the team
  • Identify and resolve technical challenges across the stack, from profiling and refactoring to scaling the platform
  • Replace legacy code and services with modern, maintainable solutions and optimize the overall stack
  • Build frameworks and reusable patterns for upcoming projects across the portfolio
  • Plan and communicate product roadmaps, triage sprint tickets, and push back on requests when technical tradeoffs demand it
  • Mentor junior engineers through code review, pairing, and hands-on problem solving
  • Help build the team by driving developer productivity and contributing to hiring decisions

Required Qualifications
  • Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, React, and Node.js
  • Proficiency / production experience with API Gateway, AWS Lambda, S3, DynamoDB.
  • Comfortable with IAM and CloudWatch for debugging + least-privilege design
  • Experience with Python and Django or comparable server-side frameworks
  • Track record of owning a product or service area technically — architecture decisions, code quality, and delivery outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and elevate other engineers while remaining a significant individual contributor
  • Experience replacing or modernizing legacy systems in a production environment
  • Comfort triaging competing priorities, planning sprints, and communicating technical details to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong opinions on code quality and engineering best practices, held loosely enough to find the best solution collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with retail, e-commerce, or multi-brand platform environments
  • Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and microservices patterns
  • Prior experience in a technical lead role on a small, high-output team

Why Join

The people who do best here are builders. They take ownership, move fast, and want to see the direct impact of their work.

  • Cross-Functional Impact: Your technical decisions will shape services that power multiple brands across the portfolio — the scope of your work is visible and immediate.
  • Skill Building: Work alongside senior engineers who will challenge your thinking, with daily exposure to modern frameworks, platform-scale problems, and AI-augmented tooling.
  • End-to-End Ownership: Own your service area from architecture through delivery — no waiting for approvals or handing off to another team.
  • Competitive Benefits: Paid time off policies, 401(k) match, medical/dental/vision and a variety of supplemental policies, and employee discounts across our portfolio of brands.

Interview Process
  1. Recruiter Screen - A 30-minute conversation with our recruiting team to align on the role, your background, and what you are looking for.
  2. Hiring Manager Interview - A deeper conversation focused on your technical leadership experience, how you approach ownership of a service area, and team dynamics.
  3. Technical / Coding Challenge - A hands-on coding exercise to assess your problem-solving approach, code quality, and comfort working in the stack.
  4. Possible In-Person Interview - Details and logistics will be arranged with your recruiter.
  5. Reference Checks - Conducted in parallel with the final stages where possible.
  6. Offer - We move quickly for the right candidate.

Interview process is subject to change. Any updates will be communicated promptly and clearly.

Junior React Developer
  • Arabian Private Holdings
  • مدينة الشارقة, الشارقة مدينة الشارقة الإمارات العربية المتحدة
react dev design front end
About the role
The firm requires a Junior React Developer to support the technical implementation of our current mandates. We are currently assisting a regional logistics and investment group with the digital restructuring of their portfolio clarity tools. This position is essential for ensuring that our governance frameworks are supported by logical and responsive user interfaces.

About Arabian Private Holdings
Arabian Private Holdings was founded on the principle that many critical business problems do not fit the traditional large firm consulting model. A board facing a succession question or a family group weighing a capital injection does not need a team of twelve associates and a hundred page methodology deck. They need experienced partners who can sit with a problem, form a rigorous view, and defend it. We take on a limited number of mandates to ensure that every client receives direct attention from the principals who are actually accountable for the outcome. Our work covers corporate strategy, governance, and operating model efficiency for some of the most significant family groups, listed corporations, and government entities in the region. We focus on clarity over complexity, choosing to prioritize the quality of our analysis and the strength of our relationships over traditional office overhead or aggressive growth targets.

What you will do
  • Develop and maintain responsive user interfaces using React for different client mandates.
  • Translate structural requirements for a regional logistics and investment group into functional frontend components.
  • Collaborate with principals to ensure data visualizations provide absolute clarity for holding company boards.
  • Write clean and documented code that follows the firm standards for precision and simplicity.
  • Identify and resolve frontend bugs to maintain the integrity of our governance tools.
  • Integrate frontend components with existing data sources and internal systems.
  • Provide technical input during the design phase of new portfolio management tools.
  • Support the overall technical operating model as we build out reporting systems for our principals.

What we are looking for
  • A foundational understanding of React, JavaScript, and CSS.
  • The ability to think through complex problems and break them down into smaller, logical steps.
  • A clear and concise writing style for internal documentation and team communication.
  • An interest in how large investment groups and regional logistics entities are structured.
  • The capacity to manage your own schedule and meet deadlines in a fully remote setting.
  • Willingness to learn from direct feedback and refine your technical approach based on firm standards.

How we work
We operate as a fully remote firm, relying on high quality documentation and clear communication to drive our mandates forward. This model provides significant autonomy while requiring direct accountability to the principals. We do not have layers of middle management or complex bureaucracies. Instead, our team members are expected to form a view on their work and defend it with logic. This environment is designed for those who value quiet rigor over office politics. Mentoring happens through direct collaboration on active projects, where the focus is always on the quality of the final result for the client.

What the role offers
  • A permanent, full time position within a principal led advisory firm.
  • The flexibility of a remote work arrangement that respects personal focus time.
  • Competitive pay that is attractive for the current market and entry level seniority.
  • Direct exposure to the inner workings of regional holding companies and government entities.
  • Professional development within a firm that values clarity of thought and independent thinking.
  • The chance to build professional tools that support high level governance and corporate strategy.

Front End Developer
  • Acro Commerce
  • Kelowna, Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada
education customer support exec content writing
Career Opportunity

Here's the corporate dribble HR made us put at the top: Acro Commerce is looking for a Front End Developer to build and maintain high-quality e-commerce experiences for our clients.

That's done. Now here's what we really want. Someone who codes in React like it's their native tongue, but still talks to our crew comfortably and sometimes even the odd client. You can turn a Figma file into a fast, componentized, pixel-perfect build, and you notice when something's a few pixels off before anyone has to tell you. You're driven to do good work but don't take yourself too seriously while doing it.

You also know your own code. You can walk us through a build that didn't go the way you planned, what you'd do differently, and you don't need your hand held to get there. That kind of honesty and low ego is how you got good in the first place.

You must be able to provide example work.

What You'll Do

Build & Ship

  • Build and maintain front ends primarily in React, Next.js, and TypeScript, turning Figma designs into clean, componentized, well-tested code
  • Implement updates and revisions to existing websites and web applications
  • Work independently across multiple smaller tasks or larger builds with shifting priorities to meet deadlines

Quality & Estimation

  • Produce high-quality work adhering to Acro Media standards and the Acro Media production process
  • Provide accurate estimates for the time required to fix a defect, complete a build, or add functionality to an existing application
  • Find and fix problems in code; this might not be your code, and your only hint might be a cryptic complaint from a client

Collaboration

  • Communicate well with Account Managers, Supervisors, and Clients about work requests, problems, and defects
  • Act as both a peer/mentor to other developers and be comfortable asking for help from teammates

What You'll Bring

  • We're less concerned with degrees and more with what you can actually build. Formal education or prior experience is not required; we just want to know you can code, so you'll need to show us some work.
  • Strong, hands-on React experience, comfortable building component-driven UIs and working from a design system or component library (Storybook experience a plus)
  • An eye for design. You don't need to be a designer, but you should be able to look at a build next to a Figma file and know when something's off: spacing, type, hierarchy, polish, and ideally propose the fix
  • Solid grasp of responsive, accessible front-end development; you build things that hold up across devices and know your WCAG basics without being asked
  • We like frameworks, but show us what you can do without one; comfortable hand-coding clean HTML, CSS, and JS when the situation calls for it
  • Comfortable working in a Linux shell for day-to-day tasks; some understanding of Linux hosting is a plus
  • Source control experience (Git, GitHub, etc.)
  • We're open to good programmers who know other languages and technologies and are willing to learn. Here's a bunch of stuff we normally work with: React, Next.js, and TypeScript are the core of this role, and the rest are a strong plus: JavaScript, Tailwind, SASS/SCSS, Figma, Drupal, Shopify, WordPress, Docker, Lando. Nice-to-haves beyond that include testing tools (Cypress, React Testing Library), other frontend frameworks (Bootstrap, MUI), package managers (npm, Yarn), CI tooling (Gulp, Grunt), and analytics/performance tools (Lighthouse, Google Analytics). If you're a badass Lisp hacker type, mention that too, and if you're creative outside of code (drawing, painting, music, whatever), we'd love to hear about that too.
  • An excellent internet connection and adequate hardware are required; you must be able to sustain an hour-long conference call without any issues
  • Fluency in English

All offers of employment with Acro Commerce are contingent on successfully completing a criminal background check.

Working remotely

Given the often isolated nature of working remotely, we value remote team members who get involved, communicate effectively over email, chat, and video, and aren't afraid to show their face on a webcam. We want you to be part of the team, not just a fly on the wall.

What We Bring

  • Ownership and impact. Developers own this joint here. We're not going to stick you in a corner with headphones on and call you "the IT department." The expected salary range for this role for candidates residing in Canada is $50,000–$134,000 CAD, tailored to your skills, performance, qualifications, experience, and location.
  • Autonomy over your schedule. Flex start times, earned days off, and real remote work. Prefer to start at 8:00? 9:00? We'll work with you. Want every second Friday off? We've got a program for that. Work from your home office or from our Kelowna HQ, your call. (Some client contracts require staff to be located in Canada, so most positions need you to be legally able to work here.)
  • Professional development. We might live and breathe software development, but we are also really passionate about our team's personal development, too. We love to learn and are always striving to be the best version of ourselves; whether it's training on the latest technology or learning how to become a better delegator, we will help you improve your skills and hit your goals.
  • Culture. We're a certain type of people. We're all a little different and unique in our own way, but we seem to work well together. No one's perfect, and we embrace that. We take our work seriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. Check out our site to get to know us! Feel free to dissect what and how we do what we do.

All careers come with a 30-day no-questions-asked money-back guarantee. If you are in any way unsatisfied with your career, we will return you to the workforce at absolutely NO COST to you (minus shipping and handling).

Preguntas frecuentes
