$180000 - $220000 Full time
Founding Engineer
  • Haast
  • New York
engineer full stack senior ai

Founding Engineer (US)

Build the AI platform that's rewriting a $50B industry

Salary range - $180-220k USD + Equity + Benefits

About Haast

We're building one of the first agentic systems for enterprise legal and compliance teams that actually automates their manual work. End-to-end. Delivering 80% faster compliance reviews and 4x productivity gains.

We recently closed a $12M USD Series A (Peak XV Partners, DST Global, Airtree) and are growing fast in the US; building the infrastructure that will completely re-define how enterprises think about compliance.

Think Canva for design. Atlassian for projects. Haast for compliance.

The Problem

Compliance is a $50B global challenge. Enterprise legal and compliance teams spend a significant amount of time manually reviewing documents against policy, spotting regulatory risk, and signing off on content before go-to-market. It's painful and it's mission-critical.

We're building the infrastructure that makes this manageable at scale. You'll be working on systems that directly reduce risk and unlock productivity for some of the world's largest organisations.

The Role

As our first US based Engineer; you'll be the technical bridge between our product vision and our customers' reality.

You're a full-stack engineer who thrives at the intersection of innovation and execution, building our platform while staying connected to the teams actually using it.

You'll split your time between heads-down building (shipping code that matters) and being engaged with customers, understanding their pain points firsthand, iterating on features in real-time, and using that feedback to shape our product direction.

You'll own end-to-end technical decisions: designing systems, shipping to production, and iterating based on direct customer interaction.

This is high-autonomy work. You'll collaborate directly with our founding team, move at startup velocity, and have genuine influence over both our architecture and product roadmap.

What You'll Own

  • Design, architect, and ship full-stack features that directly solve our customers compliance challenges

  • Own the technical relationship with key customers; implementing solutions, gathering requirements, and translating feedback into product improvements

  • Build scalable services and APIs that power our LLM compliance platform while keeping the customer experience front and center

  • Make high-impact technical decisions quickly, knowing that you'll be accountable to both our engineering standards and our customers

  • Challenge assumptions on "why" and "how", you'll directly influence what we build and how we build it

  • Shape our product roadmap and engineering practices as we scale from Series A to market leadership

Who We're Looking For

  • You've built full-stack systems at meaningful scale; you're equally comfortable architecting backend services and shipping frontend code that customers interact with daily

  • You're deep on one or more of: Go, Node.js/TypeScript, or Python, and you're fluent enough across the stack to own features end-to-end

  • You understand APIs, distributed systems, and the tradeoffs between speed and reliability in production environments

  • You genuinely enjoy working with customers; you're not just shipping features, you want to understand the human problem you're solving

  • You've shipped in fast-moving environments and understand what it takes to move quickly without breaking things

  • You're curious about how LLMs work and excited about building practical applications on top of them, not just the theory

Why Join Haast

  • Competitive benefits: PTO, Health, Dental, Vision, 401k

  • Real impact, day one: Your code runs inside the workflows of major global enterprises immediately. You're solving mission-critical compliance problems that directly reduce risk and unlock productivity.

  • Forward-deployed influence: You'll spend time with customers, understanding their pain points and having direct input into product decisions. Your customer insights will shape our roadmap.

  • Equity upside: We're building a generational company in a $50B market. You'll own a meaningful stake in that value creation and be part of the defines how Haast scales. We believe in sharing success with the people who build it.

  • Exceptional learning velocity: You'll learn more about scaling systems, working with customers, building products, and navigating the demands of a fast-growing startup in 12 months here than most roles offer in three years.

  • Engineering-driven culture: No red tape. We hire smart people and get out of their way. Your voice matters in how we build.

  • Flexibility and community: Fully remote across the US or Canada.

How to Apply

We're looking for people who've shipped things they're proud of and want to work on a problem that genuinely matters.

Apply with:

  1. Your CV

  2. A brief note on this question: Tell us about a time you worked with customers to ship something they actually needed. What did it take to achieve the outcome?

No closing date. We review applications on a rolling basis.

At Haast, we believe bold ideas come from diverse perspectives. We're committed to building a team that reflects the world we work in. Even if you don't tick every box, we'd love to hear from you.

Junior UI Engineer
  • Arabian Private Holdings
  • Birmingham, Birmingham, England, United Kingdom
design react consulting technical
About the role
This position exists to ensure the digital interfaces used in our client mandates are as clear and rigorous as our strategic analysis. We are currently supporting a major organization based in Birmingham, and this role will help build the tools used to visualize their corporate governance structures. You will translate the logic of our senior partners into functional, professional user interfaces.

About Arabian Private Holdings
Arabian Private Holdings was founded on the principle that many critical business problems do not fit the traditional large firm consulting model. A board facing a succession question or a family group weighing a capital injection does not need a team of twelve associates and a hundred page methodology deck. They need experienced partners who can sit with a problem, form a rigorous view, and defend it. We take on a limited number of mandates to ensure that every client receives direct attention from the principals who are actually accountable for the outcome. Our work covers corporate strategy, governance, and operating model efficiency for significant family groups and government entities. We operate as a fully remote firm, choosing to prioritize the quality of our analysis and the strength of our relationships over traditional office overhead.

What you will do
  • Develop responsive and clean user interface components using modern web technologies.
  • Collaborate with firm principals to understand the data requirements for our Birmingham based client projects.
  • Maintain a consistent visual language across all digital reports and internal analytical tools.
  • Build and refine dashboards that help clients achieve portfolio clarity and understand complex data sets.
  • Write clean, documented code that adheres to our internal standards for simplicity and reliability.
  • Debug front end issues and ensure that our tools perform reliably across different browsers and devices.
  • Help transform static operating model diagrams into interactive digital components.
  • Participate in internal reviews to ensure that our software tools align with the professional tone of the firm.

What we are looking for
  • Foundational knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • A basic understanding of modern front end libraries, such as React or Vue, gained through studies or personal projects.
  • The ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely in writing.
  • A logical mindset that prioritizes functional clarity over unnecessary visual complexity.
  • Attention to detail in layout, typography, and the way information is structured on a screen.
  • A willingness to learn about corporate governance and holding company structures.

How we work
We operate as a global remote firm, which means our effectiveness relies on written precision and individual accountability. Without the distractions of a physical office, we focus our energy on solving complex problems for our clients. Mentorship happens through direct interaction on active mandates, where junior team members work closely with principals to understand how to form a view and defend it. We value honesty and directness. If a solution is not working or a design is too complicated, we address it immediately. This environment requires a high level of self discipline and a genuine interest in the intersection of engineering and corporate strategy.

What the role offers
  • A permanent, full time position within a principal led strategy firm.
  • The flexibility of a fully remote work arrangement.
  • Direct exposure to high level corporate strategy and governance projects.
  • Competitive pay that is attractive for an entry level position in today's market.
  • A professional environment where your work has a visible impact on client outcomes.
  • Clear mentorship and a path to grow your technical skills within a specialized sector.

    Front End Developer
    • Acro Commerce
    • Kelowna, Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada
education customer support exec content writing
    Career Opportunity

Here's the corporate dribble HR made us put at the top: Acro Commerce is looking for a Front End Developer to build and maintain high-quality e-commerce experiences for our clients.

That's done. Now here's what we really want. Someone who codes in React like it's their native tongue, but still talks to our crew comfortably and sometimes even the odd client. You can turn a Figma file into a fast, componentized, pixel-perfect build, and you notice when something's a few pixels off before anyone has to tell you. You're driven to do good work but don't take yourself too seriously while doing it.

You also know your own code. You can walk us through a build that didn't go the way you planned, what you'd do differently, and you don't need your hand held to get there. That kind of honesty and low ego is how you got good in the first place.

You must be able to provide example work.

    What You'll Do

    Build & Ship

    • Build and maintain front ends primarily in React, Next.js, and TypeScript, turning Figma designs into clean, componentized, well-tested code
    • Implement updates and revisions to existing websites and web applications
    • Work independently across multiple smaller tasks or larger builds with shifting priorities to meet deadlines

    Quality & Estimation

    • Produce high-quality work adhering to Acro Media standards and the Acro Media production process
    • Provide accurate estimates for the time required to fix a defect, complete a build, or add functionality to an existing application
    • Find and fix problems in code; this might not be your code, and your only hint might be a cryptic complaint from a client

    Collaboration

    • Communicate well with Account Managers, Supervisors, and Clients about work requests, problems, and defects
    • Act as both a peer/mentor to other developers and be comfortable asking for help from teammates

    What You'll Bring

    • We're less concerned with degrees and more with what you can actually build. Formal education or prior experience is not required; we just want to know you can code, so you'll need to show us some work.
    • Strong, hands-on React experience, comfortable building component-driven UIs and working from a design system or component library (Storybook experience a plus)
    • An eye for design. You don't need to be a designer, but you should be able to look at a build next to a Figma file and know when something's off: spacing, type, hierarchy, polish, and ideally propose the fix
    • Solid grasp of responsive, accessible front-end development; you build things that hold up across devices and know your WCAG basics without being asked
    • We like frameworks, but show us what you can do without one; comfortable hand-coding clean HTML, CSS, and JS when the situation calls for it
    • Comfortable working in a Linux shell for day-to-day tasks; some understanding of Linux hosting is a plus
    • Source control experience (Git, GitHub, etc.)
    • We're open to good programmers who know other languages and technologies and are willing to learn. Here's a bunch of stuff we normally work with: React, Next.js, and TypeScript are the core of this role, and the rest are a strong plus: JavaScript, Tailwind, SASS/SCSS, Figma, Drupal, Shopify, WordPress, Docker, Lando. Nice-to-haves beyond that include testing tools (Cypress, React Testing Library), other frontend frameworks (Bootstrap, MUI), package managers (npm, Yarn), CI tooling (Gulp, Grunt), and analytics/performance tools (Lighthouse, Google Analytics). If you're a badass Lisp hacker type, mention that too, and if you're creative outside of code (drawing, painting, music, whatever), we'd love to hear about that too.
    • An excellent internet connection and adequate hardware are required; you must be able to sustain an hour-long conference call without any issues
    • Fluency in English

All offers of employment with Acro Commerce are contingent on successfully completing a criminal background check.

    Working remotely

Given the often isolated nature of working remotely, we value remote team members who get involved, communicate effectively over email, chat, and video, and aren't afraid to show their face on a webcam. We want you to be part of the team, not just a fly on the wall.

    What We Bring

    • Ownership and impact. Developers own this joint here. We're not going to stick you in a corner with headphones on and call you "the IT department." The expected salary range for this role for candidates residing in Canada is $50,000–$134,000 CAD, tailored to your skills, performance, qualifications, experience, and location.
    • Autonomy over your schedule. Flex start times, earned days off, and real remote work. Prefer to start at 8:00? 9:00? We'll work with you. Want every second Friday off? We've got a program for that. Work from your home office or from our Kelowna HQ, your call. (Some client contracts require staff to be located in Canada, so most positions need you to be legally able to work here.)
    • Professional development. We might live and breathe software development, but we are also really passionate about our team's personal development, too. We love to learn and are always striving to be the best version of ourselves; whether it's training on the latest technology or learning how to become a better delegator, we will help you improve your skills and hit your goals.
    • Culture. We're a certain type of people. We're all a little different and unique in our own way, but we seem to work well together. No one's perfect, and we embrace that. We take our work seriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. Check out our site to get to know us! Feel free to dissect what and how we do what we do.

All careers come with a 30-day no-questions-asked money-back guarantee. If you are in any way unsatisfied with your career, we will return you to the workforce at absolutely NO COST to you (minus shipping and handling).

    Slingshot AI

Slingshot AI is the team behind Ash, the first AI designed for mental health. Our mission is to make support more accessible and help people change their lives in the ways they want.

We’re building a world-class team by empowering individuals with the autonomy, flexibility, and support they need to do their best work. We dream big, iterate fast, and care deeply. If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.

Our team spans machine learning, product, engineering, conversational design, clinical, growth, and operations, with offices in both New York City and London.

We're a well-funded Series A company, having raised $93M from Andreessen Horowitz, Radical Ventures, Forerunner Ventures, plus top-tier tech investors involved in ElevenLabs, Captions, Shopify, Plaid, Notion, Canva, Twitch, Airtable, and many others.

    The role

This is a chance to join a passionate team leveraging cutting-edge AI to improve mental health access globally. As a Member of Technical Staff focused on Production Engineering, you will build the platform that powers Ash at scale. You'll work across voice and AI stacks, internal services, and the data systems around them, improving observability, deployment, and platform tooling to scale reliably.

As a core member of a small but highly skilled team, we expect you to act as an owner and to care passionately about delivering value to our users and ultimately to make people's lives better. We are looking for builders who care deeply about the quality of their work and want to ship things that make a real difference in people's lives.

Our tech stack uses Dart/Flutter for the app, Kotlin for core backend services, Python for our ML work, Next.js/TypeScript for internal tooling, as well as Rust for low level media streaming. We use gRPC and GCP (Kubernetes, Cloud Run) as our primary cloud provider. You're not required to be an expert in all of these tools, but we would like you to come with a learning mindset and to not be afraid of getting your hands dirty with whatever tool the job might require.

    About You

    • 6+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record of operating production systems at meaningful scale in high-growth, high-quality environments.
    • Strong systems instincts and real opinions about latency, reliability, and cost. You know what breaks first under load, and you design around it.
    • Driven by creating a world-class product with a world-class team, want to own what you build, and you're happy redesigning systems as production teaches you something new.
    • Comfortable building across the full stack, a keen learner who picks up new languages, technology stacks, and concepts quickly.
    • Experience working in a fast paced environment, taking systems from prototype to scaled production in weeks.

    Nice to have

    • Experience working on production AI inference or model serving systems.
    • Experience working on realtime systems such as voice, live communications, or streaming.
    • Experience working on large-scale data pipelines or evaluation systems.
    • Experience working with ML codebases (we don't need you to be an ML Engineer, but having an interest in AI helps!)

    Key responsibilities

    • Collaborate within a cross-functional team spanning engineering, machine learning, and product to quickly design, build, and launch new features across the stack.
    • Work comfortably across all parts of our stack, which includes core backend (Kotlin), ML scripts for evaluation, data processing, and inference (Python), low-level media streaming (Rust), the app (Dart/Flutter), and internal tooling (Next.js/TypeScript).
    • Elevate user experience by continually refining the reliability, performance, and scalability of the systems behind Ash.
    • Rapidly investigate, diagnose, and resolve production issues with a focus on latency, reliability, and cost.
    • Take initiative to independently prototype new features based on customer feedback and your own product intuitions.

    What We Offer

    • A chance to join a passionate tight-knit team working on something to change the world
    • Competitive compensation (top of personal market)
    • Travel between our NYC / London offices
    • Usual startup perks like free lunch and coffee in office + generous learning budget
    • We cover your personal therapy

AGC Studio is the only AI-powered content platform built as a complete content intelligence system for businesses that need to scale professional marketing with research-driven precision. Unlike generic scheduling tools, AGC Studio combines a 64-agent AI architecture with a proprietary 6-report research ecosystem—Viral Outliers, Pain Points, Trending, Evergreen, News, and Daily Trends—that actively browses Reddit, YouTube, Google Trends, and social platforms to uncover authentic audience insights. This means career coaches don’t guess what to post; the AI identifies real, validated pain points (e.g., 'I'm overwhelmed by career transitions at 40') and turns them into TOFU, MOFU, and BOFU content frameworks automatically. The platform generates over 88 unique content combinations across 11 platforms, from LinkedIn carousels to TikTok avatar videos, ensuring your message adapts natively to each channel. Its multi-agent blog generator uses a 12-node LangGraph workflow with four specialized AI agents (Content, SEO, Schema, Validator) to produce fully optimized, schema-enhanced blog posts in under a minute—no hiring writers needed. With its AI Avatar System, you can assign a consistent AI spokesperson with 50+ text-to-speech voices to deliver video content that builds brand familiarity. The white-label agency system lets you manage multiple client brands with complete branding control, making it ideal for coaching agencies. Every piece of content is infused with your brand’s voice via 25+ dynamic merge tags, ensuring consistency from a single tweet to a 10-minute YouTube video.

    The Role

The ideal candidate is a seasoned, proactive problem-solver who excels in a collaborative setting and can lead complex deals, projects, and cross-functional teams effectively.

This position serves as the senior technical expert and trusted advisor supporting prospects from initial engagement through to successful final sales. The role offers a dynamic mix of strategic technical sales, proof of concept leadership, and ongoing technical guidance, providing a varied set of daily activities with our prospects across the financial services industry.

    What You'll Do:

    • Lead and resolve complex technical challenges independently, leveraging managers and teams as strategic partners rather than primary support.

    • Serve as a subject matter expert in API data integrations and across the Glia product suite.

    • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to proactively address potential risks and minimize their impact on sales outcomes.

    • Delegate tasks appropriately, integrate technical needs into project planning, and choose the most effective project management strategies.

    • Navigate and resolve complex client issues, fostering collaboration across departments and managing communication challenges with diverse stakeholders at banks, credit unions, and financial services organizations.

    • Present complex information clearly and concisely during executive-level meetings, ensuring all communications are impactful and directly support business objectives.

    • Maintain a deep understanding of financial services and customer service industry trends, regularly contributing insights in meetings and strategic discussions.

    • Develop and maintain deep, personalized customer relationships, leveraging those to advance business objectives.

    • Mentor peers and contribute to the team's collective knowledge by effectively utilizing our entire library of stories and case studies across the Glia product set.

    Qualifications:

    Must Have:

    • 5+ years of experience in a pre-sales engineering, solutions engineering, solutions architecture, or comparable customer-facing technical role.

    • Hands-on coding ability (not just "technical aptitude"). Comfortable building and modifying working examples in JavaScript and HTML/CSS, and explaining decisions clearly.

    • Proven experience working with REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven integrations (authentication, payloads, retries, error handling, debugging).

    • Track record of building real technical artifacts such as serverless functions, lightweight backend services, automation scripts, or integration applets to prove out workflows and solutions in enterprise sales cycles.

    • Ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes and guide technical + non-technical stakeholders through tradeoffs (security, time-to-value, maintainability, UX).

    • Substantial customer-facing / business-facing experience (pre-sales, professional services, implementations, solutions architecture, technical consulting, or similar). Must be comfortable leading technical conversations with senior prospect stakeholders, including executive buyers.

    • Strong communication skills: asks great questions, can whiteboard/teach, and can present a clear point of view with executive presence.

    • Experience working in/around B2B SaaS products that support sales/service/customer experience workflows (understands customer service personas and care team operational realities).

    Nice to Have:

    • Prior Senior Sales Engineer / Senior Solutions Engineer / Solutions Architect title or demo/POC ownership experience on complex enterprise deals.

    • Experience selling to or working with banks, credit unions, or other financial services institutions.

    • CS degree or formal technical training (helpful, not required if the hands-no dev skills are strong).

    • Experience with customer service / CX tech and/or telephony/SIP/VoIP concepts (bonus, not required).

    • Background at orgs known for platform / custom development pre-sales (e.g., large enterprise software vendors with platform SE teams).

    Benefits:

    • Stock options and competitive salary

    • Professional development support (trainings, courses, conferences, books, etc.)

    • Access to all the latest tools and equipment you'll need

    • Sports compensation, reimbursement for therapy, counseling sessions

    • Team events: annual employee awards, internal hackathons, and a dozen cool events from cooking to the Glia olympic games :)

    • Diversity: 25 countries represented

during beta, yes — both tiers, no credit card, no trial clock. after beta: core is $10/machine/month for monitoring, control, deploy, displays, and cortex on a single site. pro is $50/machine/month (3-machine minimum) and adds the public API, CLI, SDK, webhooks, unlimited sites, and roost — incremental project sync with 1 TB included storage per site. no per-user fees on either.

no. owlette is windows-only. your mac is fine — it doesn't need monitoring. it'll let you know when something's wrong. loudly. in the middle of a show.

the agent keeps running. it monitors and auto-recovers processes whether or not it can reach the cloud. when the connection returns, it syncs everything it missed. your machines don't need the internet to run. they've been alone before. they know how to survive.

no inbound ports, no vpn. agents connect outbound over https (port 443) to google's firebase infrastructure. if your network allows general internet access, it just works. locked-down environments may need to whitelist *.googleapis.com and *.firebaseio.com.

cortex is owlette's ai fleet assistant — ask it the questions you ask yourself every day: "which nvidia driver are we running?", "restart the media server on node 3", "what crashed at 3am?" it translates natural language into real commands across your fleet. you bring your own api key (openai, anthropic, or any compatible provider).

roost is owlette's project sync. point it at a folder — a TouchDesigner project, a content drop, a build output — and it ships only the bytes that changed to every machine on the site, atomically: a machine gets the whole new version or stays on the old one, never a half-copied mess. every deploy is versioned, so you can roll back to any of the last 50 for up to 30 days. it's part of the pro tier and includes 1 TB of storage per site ($0.05/GB after that). no more zipping a folder and RDP-ing into ten machines at 2am.

agents connect over tls, credentials are encrypted on-device using a machine-bound key, and oauth tokens are never logged or stored in plaintext. access is managed through firebase auth with optional passkey and two-factor authentication.

yes — owlette is FSL-1.1-Apache-2.0 (converts to apache 2.0 two years after each release). the full source is on github. fair warning: it requires firebase, a railway (or equivalent) deployment for the web app, and a willingness to blow past your usage limits at 3am debugging support tickets from your neighbor's camper because your furnace broke and it's -10 outside. we won't talk you out of it, but the hosted version exists for a reason.

    Sr Software Engineer B E
    • Rebuy, Inc.
    • Remote
    senior backend php go

    The Company You’ll Join

At Rebuy, we’re on a mission to revolutionize shopping with intelligent, personalized experiences that wow customers around the globe. As a fully remote team, we power some of the fastest-growing DTC brands like Aviator Nation, Liquid Death, Magic Spoon, Blenders, Laird Superfoods, Primal Kitchen, and many more.

We believe in ownership, drive, and empathy, and strongly uphold that every team member plays a vital role in shaping the future of intelligent commerce. Our culture thrives on collaboration, creativity, and genuine passion. We don’t just build great tech - we build lasting partnerships, a strong community, and a place where people love to work.

    The Problems You’ll Solve

Rebuy and its team members continually strive to create a high-spirited, intentional work environment that stresses performance, productivity, collaboration, and merit.

As a Sr. Software Engineer, Back-End, you’ll own some of the most consequential systems at Rebuy. Your primary anchor is our billing and payments infrastructure — the engine that determines how merchants are charged, how partners get paid, and how financial balances flow across our entire product suite. This is genuinely complex financial engineering. It requires deep PHP and Go expertise, careful architecture, and judgment that no automated tool can replicate. Merchant billing runs daily, touches real revenue, and demands someone who understands both the technical and business dimensions of every decision.

Alongside billing, you’ll grow into a broader platform portfolio — the partner portal, data ETL pipelines, customer-facing APIs, and reporting infrastructure that power the business. And in the near term, you’ll play a critical role in a significant technical migration: moving our legacy Code Igniter 2 codebase to Code Igniter 4, including work tied to increasing our enterprise market share. This migration requires hands-on PHP expertise and cannot be deferred.

You won’t be handed a sprawling list of things you must do on day one. You’ll be trusted to grow into this role — and rewarded when you do.

    • Billing & Payments Architecture: Design and build Rebuy’s centralized billing system that handles merchant billing, partner payments, and customer-facing charges. Architect the integration layer that allows payment balances to be applied across Rebuy’s full suite of services. Tackle genuinely complex financial engineering challenges with PHP and Go at scale.

    • Build Robust APIs: Design and implement secure, well-structured APIs in PHP and Go to power billing events, payment processing, and financial data flows across our platform and Shopify integrations.

    • Legacy Modernization: Lead and contribute to the migration of our Code Igniter 2 codebase to Code Igniter 4. This is high-priority, near-term work with real business dependencies — including enterprise partnership commitments — and requires a PHP engineer with the experience and judgment to do it right.

    • Agentify the Platform: Partner with product and engineering to identify where AI agents can automate workflows, surface insights, and guide merchants through our product. Build the backend systems — APIs, data pipelines, and event hooks — that enable intelligent automation. This is genuinely new territory and one of the most exciting growth vectors for Rebuy’s product.

    • Platform Breadth: Our team owns more than billing and payments — we also support a partner portal, data ETL pipelines, customer-facing reporting APIs, and the infrastructure that makes data flow reliably across the business. You won’t be responsible for all of it on day one, but you’ll have genuine opportunities to grow into the areas that most interest you. Engineers here don’t get siloed; they get context.

    • Engineering Best Practices: Contribute significantly to the engineering culture at Rebuy by establishing, documenting, and promoting best practices. Lead initiatives to introduce and standardize frameworks and tools that increase development efficiency and maintainability.

    • Security & Compliance: Stay current with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and best practices as they apply to billing and payment systems. Champion security-first engineering across authentication, authorization, data encryption, and compliance considerations in everything you build.

    • PHP Technical Leadership: Serve as a key technical anchor for PHP across the engineering organization. Rebuy’s codebase has significant PHP depth and relatively few engineers with that expertise. You’ll lead code reviews, share knowledge actively, and help raise the PHP competency of the broader team.

    • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on deliverables to ensure code, setup, and configurations meet expected results. Ensure that all features meet high standards of quality and performance before deployment.

    • Team Collaboration: Engage actively in building a strong team culture. Work closely with the Product Owner, Engineering Manager, and peers across billing, payments, partner tools, and data infrastructure to define requirements, estimate effort, and drive solutions forward. This is a team where your voice matters — you won’t just be handed tickets. Assist the Support team in triaging and resolving high-priority production issues.

    Technologies We Use:

    • AI: Anthropic Enterprise Claude Code / Co-work, Cursor, Adhoc AI tools budget.

    • Frontend Technologies: React, TypeScript, GraphQL, VueJS, Angular

    • Backend technologies: PHP, GO, MySQL, BigTable, Elasticsearch

    • Other Tools: Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Google Suite, Slack, One Password, Notion

    About Nabu Casa

Nabu Casa, Inc was founded in 2018 by the founders of both Home Assistant, the open source home automation platform, and Home Assistant OS, the operating system that turns your device into a smart home hub powered by Home Assistant. These projects have seen an immense growth and have helped shape DIY home automation communities around the world.

After being involved in the Internet of Things industry for many years, we realized that there is a need for a cloud service that aims to put users, their privacy and their data first. Such a cloud can only be built as an extension to a platform that does the same: Home Assistant.

With Nabu Casa we are building this cloud service and we’re calling it Home Assistant Cloud.

We are a profitable company with no external investors. Our funding comes directly from users who subscribe to Home Assistant Cloud and purchase Home Assistant hardware, ensuring our only stakeholders are our employees and our users. We also support other open-source projects, including those focused on hardware, standards, and voice technology.

    The role

Nabu Casa is looking for a full-time backend developer to join our Cloud & Infrastructure team and work primarily on Home Assistant Cloud services.

As one of the most active open-source projects in the world, Home Assistant exists because of its community. This service gives the community access to features usually reserved for power users with expensive hardware at home. Current features such as remote access and text-to-speech / speech-to-text support are made available without ever compromising on privacy. We're looking for someone who will maintain the existing features and infrastructure and help us create valuable new features with efficiency and privacy in mind.

    • Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance, and reliable backend applications
    • Participate in code reviews as part of our collaborative development process

    • Contribute to maintaining and improving the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the cloud services
    • Implement security and data protection best practices in your work

    What You Need To Have

    • At least five years of professional experience in back-end development.
