The Role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing engineering team building and scaling products used by millions of users across the region.
This role is for a strong technical leader who can lead engineers, make sound architecture and engineering decisions, and drive products and systems from idea to production. You will be responsible for both the quality of the engineering team and the quality and speed of what the team ships.
You should be comfortable operating across people, product and technology â setting a high engineering bar while keeping the team focused on delivering real customer and business outcomes.
What You'll Own
Lead and manage a team of engineers across frontend, backend and full stack development.
Own engineering delivery for major product areas, ensuring the team ships quickly without compromising reliability and technical quality.
Work closely with product, design, mobile, backend and AI teams to turn ambiguous product problems into clear technical execution.
Drive technical architecture and engineering decisions across APIs, databases, integrations, infrastructure and customer-facing systems.
Set engineering standards around code quality, system design, testing, observability, security and production reliability.
Stay close to the technical work through architecture reviews, code reviews, debugging and critical engineering decisions.
Develop engineers through regular feedback, coaching, performance management and clear expectations.
Identify performance gaps early and take ownership of raising the team's engineering and execution bar.
Improve engineering processes, tooling and automation to help the team move faster and operate at scale.
Own production outcomes beyond release: monitor systems, resolve incidents, identify root causes and ensure problems do not repeat.
Build a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, speed, technical excellence and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
Strong software engineering background with experience building and shipping real production systems.
Experience leading or managing software engineers and owning engineering delivery.
Strong technical depth across backend, frontend, APIs, databases, distributed systems or cloud infrastructure.
Able to make sound architecture and technical trade-offs while balancing speed, scalability and maintainability.
Strong track record of taking products or systems from idea through development, launch and production.
Comfortable reviewing technical designs, challenging engineering decisions and debugging complex production issues.
Strong people leadership with the ability to coach engineers, manage performance and build high-performing teams.
Strong product sense and ability to connect engineering decisions to customer and business outcomes.
Able to work fast with ambiguity, establish priorities and drive teams toward clear outcomes.
Strong ownership mentality â when something breaks or delivery slips, you take responsibility for getting it back on track.
This Role Is Not For
Managers who want to manage people without staying close to the technology.
Engineers who want the title of Engineering Manager but do not want accountability for team performance.
Leaders who need complete specifications before their team can start.
Managers who measure success by meetings, processes or tickets instead of shipped outcomes.
People who avoid difficult technical decisions, performance conversations or production issues.
Candidates who make vague leadership claims without being able to explain what they personally built, led, improved or scaled.
The Bar
We are looking for engineering leaders with real technology career highlights.
A strong highlight is not just managing a large team or working at a famous company. A strong highlight means you personally helped build, ship or scale a serious product, platform or engineering organisation and can clearly explain your contribution.
You should be able to demonstrate both sides of engineering leadership: technical depth and the ability to build a high-performing team that consistently delivers.
Location
This is a remote role. We hire globally and work across multiple countries and time zones.
Candidates should be comfortable working effectively in a distributed, fast-moving international team and collaborating with colleagues across different locations.
Language
English is our main working language across global teams. Strong English communication is required.
Interview Process
Our process is designed to move fast:
Online assessment or practical task
Technical / engineering leadership interview
CEO / final round
For strong candidates, we aim to complete the process and make an offer within 1 week from the start of the interview process. Candidates who complete assessments quickly will be prioritized.

Weâre a team of ~50 people whoâve done 6 acquisitions in 18 months and scaled from $0 to >$100M in revenue. Weâre a global group with businesses across the US, UK, and EU. We buy and build companies that help people find and buy the products they love. Our portfolio includes leading fashion marketplaces like Italist, HEWI and Verishop, affiliate marketing platforms like Stylight and MyBestBrands, B2B technology solutions like Bonsai, and niche Marketplaces in the Creator and Construction spaces like Everpress and DOZR.
About This Role
Italist and HEWI are two luxury fashion marketplaces â one focused on new-season pieces sourced directly from Italian boutiques, the other on pre-loved luxury goods â and together they serve shoppers across the globe. As a Customer Support Agent, you'll be the first point of contact for our customers: answering questions, resolving issues, and making sure every interaction leaves them feeling heard and taken care of.
This is a fully remote role. You'll work closely with a small, tight-knit CS team and be expected to bring professionalism, empathy, and a real sense of ownership to every ticket you touch.
What You'll Do
- Handle inbound customer inquiries across email and chat through Gorgias, our customer support platform â covering order status, returns, shipping, sizing, and everything in between â for either Italist or HEWI
- Resolve issues efficiently and thoroughly, escalating to the team lead when a situation calls for it
- Navigate Shopify and our customs admin to look up orders, track shipments, and assist with post-purchase queries across both stores
- Maintain accurate records and follow established SOPs, while flagging anything that seems broken or improvable
- Represent two luxury brands with warmth and professionalism in every customer interaction
- Collaborate with teammates across time zones to ensure consistent coverage and quality
- You have hands-on experience in a customer-facing support role â e-commerce or fashion experience is a plus
- You're calm under pressure, empathetic with frustrated customers, and quick to find solutions
- Ownership Mentality: You don't wait to be told what to do. If a ticket needs solving, you solve it â and if something keeps going wrong, you flag it rather than work around it quietly
- You're comfortable working independently in a remote environment with minimal hand-holding
- Experience with Gorgias or similar helpdesk tools (Zendesk, Freshdesk) is a meaningful advantage; familiarity with Shopify is a plus
- You're fluent in English; additional languages (Italian, French, German, Arabic, Japanise) are a genuine advantage given our customer base
- You're okay with some structure and some ambiguity â startups are a mix of both
- A starting salary in the â¬1200ââ¬1,600 range (gross) per month for 40h work week + 20 days of vacation per year (compensation range varies based on candidates experience and performance during interviews)
- A fully remote, flexible work environment â we hire adults and treat them like adults
- Real exposure to luxury e-commerce operations across two global brands
- A small team where your work is visible, your feedback is heard, and there's room to grow
This is a full-time B2B engagement â meaning we'll work with you as an independent contractor rather than a direct employee. We operate this way because ICG does not currently have a legal entity in Croatia. All compensation is quoted and paid gross; you'll be responsible for your own tax and social contributions on your end. If you're already set up as a sole proprietor (e.g. pauÅ¡alni obrt or d.o.o.) or open to setting one up, this arrangement is straightforward. We're happy to walk you through how it works during the process.
What We Can't Offer You
- A formal employment contract. This is a B2B engagement â see above.
- Perfect work/life balance all the time. Startups move fast, and customer needs don't follow a 9-to-5 schedule. We'll work together to keep things reasonable, but flexibility goes both ways (we do not expect employees to work more then 8h a day)
- A large support infrastructure to hide behind. You'll need to think on your feet and adapt quickly.
- Application â We'll review within 72 hours and follow up either way
- Intro Call â A short conversation with Jurica or another team member to get to know each other (30 min, Google Meet).
- Skills Assessment â A brief, practical exercise to see how you handle a realistic support scenario.
- Final Interview â A deeper conversation with Karlo, including time for your questions.
- Offer â The fun part.

Here's the corporate dribble HR made us put at the top: Acro Commerce is looking for a Front End Developer to build and maintain high-quality e-commerce experiences for our clients.
That's done. Now here's what we really want. Someone who codes in React like it's their native tongue, but still talks to our crew comfortably and sometimes even the odd client. You can turn a Figma file into a fast, componentized, pixel-perfect build, and you notice when something's a few pixels off before anyone has to tell you. You're driven to do good work but don't take yourself too seriously while doing it.
You also know your own code. You can walk us through a build that didn't go the way you planned, what you'd do differently, and you don't need your hand held to get there. That kind of honesty and low ego is how you got good in the first place.
You must be able to provide example work.
What You'll Do
Build & Ship
- Build and maintain front ends primarily in React, Next.js, and TypeScript, turning Figma designs into clean, componentized, well-tested code
- Implement updates and revisions to existing websites and web applications
- Work independently across multiple smaller tasks or larger builds with shifting priorities to meet deadlines
- Produce high-quality work adhering to Acro Media standards and the Acro Media production process
- Provide accurate estimates for the time required to fix a defect, complete a build, or add functionality to an existing application
- Find and fix problems in code; this might not be your code, and your only hint might be a cryptic complaint from a client
- Communicate well with Account Managers, Supervisors, and Clients about work requests, problems, and defects
- Act as both a peer/mentor to other developers and be comfortable asking for help from teammates
- We're less concerned with degrees and more with what you can actually build. Formal education or prior experience is not required; we just want to know you can code, so you'll need to show us some work.
- Strong, hands-on React experience, comfortable building component-driven UIs and working from a design system or component library (Storybook experience a plus)
- An eye for design. You don't need to be a designer, but you should be able to look at a build next to a Figma file and know when something's off: spacing, type, hierarchy, polish, and ideally propose the fix
- Solid grasp of responsive, accessible front-end development; you build things that hold up across devices and know your WCAG basics without being asked
- We like frameworks, but show us what you can do without one; comfortable hand-coding clean HTML, CSS, and JS when the situation calls for it
- Comfortable working in a Linux shell for day-to-day tasks; some understanding of Linux hosting is a plus
- Source control experience (Git, GitHub, etc.)
- We're open to good programmers who know other languages and technologies and are willing to learn. Here's a bunch of stuff we normally work with: React, Next.js, and TypeScript are the core of this role, and the rest are a strong plus: JavaScript, Tailwind, SASS/SCSS, Figma, Drupal, Shopify, WordPress, Docker, Lando. Nice-to-haves beyond that include testing tools (Cypress, React Testing Library), other frontend frameworks (Bootstrap, MUI), package managers (npm, Yarn), CI tooling (Gulp, Grunt), and analytics/performance tools (Lighthouse, Google Analytics). If you're a badass Lisp hacker type, mention that too, and if you're creative outside of code (drawing, painting, music, whatever), we'd love to hear about that too.
- An excellent internet connection and adequate hardware are required; you must be able to sustain an hour-long conference call without any issues
- Fluency in English
Working remotely
Given the often isolated nature of working remotely, we value remote team members who get involved, communicate effectively over email, chat, and video, and aren't afraid to show their face on a webcam. We want you to be part of the team, not just a fly on the wall.
What We Bring
- Ownership and impact. Developers own this joint here. We're not going to stick you in a corner with headphones on and call you "the IT department." The expected salary range for this role for candidates residing in Canada is $50,000â$134,000 CAD, tailored to your skills, performance, qualifications, experience, and location.
- Autonomy over your schedule. Flex start times, earned days off, and real remote work. Prefer to start at 8:00? 9:00? We'll work with you. Want every second Friday off? We've got a program for that. Work from your home office or from our Kelowna HQ, your call. (Some client contracts require staff to be located in Canada, so most positions need you to be legally able to work here.)
- Professional development. We might live and breathe software development, but we are also really passionate about our team's personal development, too. We love to learn and are always striving to be the best version of ourselves; whether it's training on the latest technology or learning how to become a better delegator, we will help you improve your skills and hit your goals.
- Culture. We're a certain type of people. We're all a little different and unique in our own way, but we seem to work well together. No one's perfect, and we embrace that. We take our work seriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. Check out our site to get to know us! Feel free to dissect what and how we do what we do.

Valiantys is a global professional services firm dedicated to helping engineering and service organizations transform how they work, using AI-enabled software delivery, modern ITSM, and platform engineering.
The opportunity
We're hiring a Chief of Staff to support the CEO. This role exists to increase the CEO's leverage, strengthen executive alignment, and improve the quality and pace of key decisions. It is not a substitute for operating leadership and does not own day-to-day company operations. Instead, the Chief of Staff acts as an extension of the CEO to drive clarity, follow-through, and executive coherence across the leadership team.
Location: This role can be located in the United States, (EST, New York City preferred). We offer flexible remote working policy.
What You'll Own
Operating cadence
Design and run the executive operating rhythm across a distributed leadership team. This includes C-suite meeting design, leadership team offsites, and the CEO's 1:1 cadence - ensuring each forum has a clear purpose, the right participants, the right pre-work, and concrete outputs.
Decision governance
Build and maintain the decision-making infrastructure for the exec team: RACI frameworks, decision logs, real-time commitment tracking. Make the implicit explicit. Document decisions as they're made, track what was decided, by whom, and what happens next.
Strategic progress tracking
Create the scorecards, dashboards, and executive reporting rhythms that give the CEO clear visibility into transformation priorities, business risks, and decisions requiring intervention. Partner closely with the COO and executive team to synthesize progress, surface slippage early, and sharpen the quality of discussion at the top. This role owns executive-level transparency and escalation.
Executive forum quality
Own the output quality of the company's most important executive forums. This means ensuring the right pre-reads exist, decisions are captured in real time, follow-through is tracked, and unresolved issues are escalated quickly. The standard is that every significant forum produces clarity, accountability, and momentum.
Executive communications
Craft the materials that shape the company's most important conversations: board updates, executive memos, decision briefs, CEO communications, investor-ready narratives, and sensitive internal messaging. Turn complex issues into crisp, well-structured communication tailored to senior audiences. Ensure the CEO enters key discussions with sharp materials, clear points of view, and decision-ready framing.
Thought partnership
Serve as a trusted sounding board to the CEO on strategic priorities, sensitive issues, and cross-functional tradeoffs. Translate complex discussions into structured options, clear decisions, and actionable next steps. Where appropriate, represent the CEO in selected forums with clearly defined delegated authority and return with sharp recommendations or follow-up actions.
How Youâll Drive Impact
The Chief of Staff focuses on sharpening priorities, improving executive decision-making, strengthening cross-functional alignment, and ensuring follow-through on the issues that matter most.
You will partner closely with the COO and leadership team to ensure the c-suite has clear visibility into execution, risks, dependencies, and decisions that require intervention.
You will operate across distributed, multi-regional leadership teams (US, Europe, APAC). You understand the asynchronous communication patterns, the coordination costs, and the discipline required to keep a globally distributed exec team aligned.
Success in the role comes from creating leverage, clarity, and momentum across the executive team.
What We're Looking For
- A proven operator who has built executive operating rhythm in a 300 to 600 person professional services or B2B services business and knows what well-run looks like
- Fluency in driving accountability through influence: building trust with senior leaders, holding peers accountable as a partner, and earning a mandate rather than asserting one
- The ability to hold the full operating plan, see dependencies, and anticipate second-order effects before they surface as problems
- Structured thinking that turns complexity and conflicting inputs into clear options and decisions
- Sound judgment and discretion with sensitive information and competing priorities, and a clear sense of when to push, escalate, or stay behind the scenes
- 8-12 years of experience, including 2+ years in a Chief of Staff, Executive Strategy & Operations, GM, or equivalent operating role
- MBA or equivalent; strategy consulting background a plus, not a requirement
- A proven record of designing and building operating infrastructure for a distributed executive teams
- Professional services, consulting, or B2B services background strongly preferred, , with a working understanding of the economics and the consultative model
- Meaningful experience in transformation contexts: strategic pivot, M&A integration, or major operational change
- PE-backed or high-growth experience, board exposure, and strong executive writing are each a plus
- The CEO is spending more time on the highest-value strategic priorities and less time on coordination overhead
- The COO has more capacity to scale the business and lead day-to-day operations
- Executive forums produce clearer decisions, better follow-through, and faster escalation of critical issues
- Cross-functional priorities are visible, coordinated, and less dependent on the CEO personally chasing progress
- Board and investor discussions are supported by more consistent, decision-ready materials and reporting
This role suits an operator who builds the rhythm a leadership team runs on and leads through relationships rather than authority. You want to build something that matters, operate at pace inside a high-stakes transformation, and have a direct line to impact with visibility into the highest levels of decision-making.
Why you should apply ?
Our team members are our greatest asset and we work hard to ensure that Valiantys is not only a great place to work, but also a platform for you to grow.
Sense. We're committed to giving you the level of information you need to make sense of your assignments. You will witness the impact of your actions.
Training. We will provide you with the necessary time and budget to help you develop your skills and continue to build your career.
Flexibility. We understand that life is all about balance and we offer you the flexibility and support to help you maintain balance across the different pillars of your life.
What We Offer - Employee Perks & Benefits
- Competitive compensation with an annual performance-based bonus
- Comprehensive Health Insurance401(k) with Company Match
- Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) - 4 weeks per year, plus public holidays
- A flexible remote work policy
- A multicultural and international team environment

Weâre building a world-class team by empowering individuals with the autonomy, flexibility, and support they need to do their best work. We dream big, iterate fast, and care deeply. If that sounds like you, weâd love to hear from you.

We are looking for builders who care deeply about the quality of their work and want to ship things that make a real difference in people's lives.

- Strong systems instincts and real opinions about latency, reliability, and cost. You know what breaks first under load, and you design around it.
- Driven by creating a world-class product with a world-class team, want to own what you build, and you're happy redesigning systems as production teaches you something new.
- Comfortable building across the full stack, a keen learner who picks up new languages, technology stacks, and concepts quickly.
- Experience working in a fast paced environment, taking systems from prototype to scaled production in weeks.
- Experience working on production AI inference or model serving systems.
- Experience working on realtime systems such as voice, live communications, or streaming.
- Experience working on large-scale data pipelines or evaluation systems.
- Experience working with ML codebases (we don't need you to be an ML Engineer, but having an interest in AI helps!)
- Collaborate within a cross-functional team spanning engineering, machine learning, and product to quickly design, build, and launch new features across the stack.
- Work comfortably across all parts of our stack, which includes core backend (Kotlin), ML scripts for evaluation, data processing, and inference (Python), low-level media streaming (Rust), the app (Dart/Flutter), and internal tooling (Next.js/TypeScript).
- Elevate user experience by continually refining the reliability, performance, and scalability of the systems behind Ash.
- Rapidly investigate, diagnose, and resolve production issues with a focus on latency, reliability, and cost.
- Take initiative to independently prototype new features based on customer feedback and your own product intuitions.
- A chance to join a passionate tight-knit team working on something to change the world
- Competitive compensation (top of personal market)
- Travel between our NYC / London offices
- Usual startup perks like free lunch and coffee in office + generous learning budget
- We cover your personal therapy

Role Overview
The Team Lead, Education Sales leads the Education sales team and owns the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for the Education segment, covering both University and Student markets. The role is responsible for driving new institution and student customer acquisition, growing ARR within the existing base, and reducing churn across both segments. The University segment operates through direct, relationship-led sales to institutions, while the Student segment runs as a low-touch, digital-first purchase journey, requiring close partnership with the Ecommerce team to optimise the online funnel, conversion rates, and pricing experience. Reporting to the Sr. Director GTM Strategy & Transformation, this role requires a commercially driven sales leader with a hands-on approach, a track record of owning segment revenue end-to-end, and the ability to coach and develop a team while remaining personally active in deals. The role operates with a high degree of autonomy and suits someone who wants to build and scale a team rather than maintain one.
Main Responsibilities
Lead and develop the Education sales team, setting clear individual performance expectations, coaching from the front, and stepping into deals directly where needed to support pipeline and attainment targets.
Own and scale a proactive, discovery-led outbound motion to win new institution and student customers, continuously refining outreach cadence and qualification criteria.
Drive expansion and retention within the existing student and institution customer base, identifying and executing initiatives that grow ARR and reduce churn.
Own ARR and pipeline growth within the University segment through relationship-led, direct sales to institutions, tracking key performance metrics and diagnosing and correcting underperformance.
Own ARR and seat growth within the Student segment, which runs as a low-touch, digital-first purchase journey rather than a traditional sales motion; partner with the Ecommerce team to continuously optimize the online funnel, conversion rates, and pricing experience.
Own accurate pipeline forecasting and attainment reporting for the Education business, providing reliable visibility into performance for sales reviews and senior leadership.
Partner with RevOps, Marketing, Product, and Ecommerce to ensure Education-specific campaigns, content, and product feedback are prioritised and executed effectively.
Required Experience
At least 5 years of sales experience within a SaaS or technology environment, including demonstrated experience leading a sales team with direct accountability for team performance and revenue outcomes.
Proven track record of owning a direct sales territory or segment end-to-end, from pipeline generation through closed, retained revenue.
Experience managing and influencing a low-touch, digital or ecommerce-led purchase journey (funnel, conversion, pricing) is a strong advantage.
Previous experience in Architecture, Education, EdTech, or a related vertical is an advantage, but not required.
Required Skills
Takes full ownership of commercial outcomes: builds pipeline, closes deals, and drives team performance without waiting to be directed.
Leads by example in the field: comfortable coaching team members through live deals and personally engaging in high-priority opportunities where it makes a difference.
Translates ARR and revenue data into clear, defensible strategy, is able to identify where performance is off track, diagnose the root cause, and act on it.
Communicates with credibility at senior level: presents team results, forecasts, and strategic needs clearly to VP-level and cross-functional stakeholders.
Able to build effective working relationships and collaborate cross-functionally across Ecommerce, RevOps, and Marketing: driving digital funnel and conversion improvements for the Student segment without direct authority.
Operates effectively with high autonomy in a fast-moving environment: sets own priorities, creates momentum without close direction, and holds a consistently high personal bar for execution and results.
Familiarity with MEDDICC or a similar sales qualification framework is an advantage.
We welcome people who value teamwork, stick to their commitments and are curious to explore new ways for achieving mastery. If you believe that you are a good match for the job, just send us your CV in English.
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
Confidentiality of all applications is assured.
