Runn follows the Shape Up methodology with some modifications that work better for our team.
Youâll work in eight week cycles: Six weeks of project work, followed by two weeks of self-directed cooldown time to work on smaller tactical improvements, reduce our technical debt or improve your craft. Before each cycle starts, the upcoming work is shared with the engineering team, and engineers can put their hand up to work on projects.
Each project team is made up of two engineers and one product designer, with the explicit goal of having a releasable feature at the end of the cycle.

While most of the engineering team is centred around the NZ timezone, you may work with someone who is a few timezones away . Each project team is made up of two engineers and one product designer, with the explicit goal of having a releasable feature at the end of the cycle.

Our Security Team is a dynamic blend of proactive defenders and inquisitive problem-solvers. We're dedicated to fortifying our cloud infrastructure (GCP and AWS) through rigorous security reviews, threat modeling, and automated controls. We actively manage our cloud security posture, ensuring swift response and remediation to identified risks. We leverage cutting-edge tools like DataDog for cloud security monitoring and Terraform for secure Infrastructure as Code. Collaboration is key, as we embed security best practices throughout the infrastructure lifecycle. The estimated salary range for this position is estimated to be $145,000 - $155,000/year. Total compensation for this position may also include Restricted Stock units, sign-on bonus and other potential future incentives. Well, we are looking for a Full Stack Engineer who will bring technical know-how and enthusiasm to our team. You will report to one of our Engineering Managers and will be responsible for supporting features and architecture designed to maintain our usersâ confidence in Calendly.
A day in the life of a Full Stack Engineer at Calendly
The Calendly platform is a monolith that is being decomposed into various services in order for us to scale our platform and team. We need ambitious, experienced engineers who can help us drive this stage of growth. As an engineer at Calendly, you will both build new features and work to scale our platform and architecture. You will build tooling and automation to fine tune our delivery process as you grow into a service oriented specialist. You will also learn to work with multiple technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Argo Workflows, Typescript, Rails, NodeJS, React, PostgreSQL, Redis, to name a few.

Weâre looking for an experienced software engineer to help us shape and scale Leona. Leona is reimagining how the world interacts with care â starting with doctor-patient communication on WhatsApp. We are building an an AI-powered platform that automates clinical workflows to empower doctors to save time, reduce burnout, and deliver better, more personalized care at scale. Patients today expect round-the-clock access to personalized care, but doctors are stuck with outdated, fragmented tools; Leona bridges that gap with intelligent automation and seamless messaging. If youâre driven by tough engineering and user experience challenges, love wearing many hats, and thrive in taking products from 0 to 1, this role is for you.
Take full ownership of projects that are both technically complex and business-critical
Collaborate closely with design, operations, data science, and medical professionals to deliver impactful product experiences
Work side-by-side with our CTO to evolve our engineering strategy and improve how we build
Help shape technical direction and product decisions as a core member of a small, high-performing team
6+ years of relevant experience, with a strong track record of building and scaling complex software systems (startup experience is a plus!)
Deep expertise in backend development using modern technologies (we use Python on the backend; clients are built in Flutter), and familiarity with managing production-scale infrastructure within AWS
Comfortable working across the stack and owning projects end-to-end â from idea to launch to scale
Strong understanding of modern AI technologies â you stay current with the tooling landscape and confidently apply AI/ML to real-world problems
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
