Key Responsibilities
- Record and maintain all financial transactions, including purchases, expenses, and payments
- Perform bank and account reconciliations regularly
- Prepare monthly financial reports and summaries
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Support tax preparation and audits as needed
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-driven Bookkeeper to join QCR and take full ownership of day-to-day financial tracking and reporting. This role is critical in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and visibility into our financial performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain clean books, enable informed decision-making, and support growth initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting (2+ years preferred)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books, etc.)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience in manufacturing or production environments is a plus
Desirable Skills
Experience with cost accounting or standard costing, familiarity with internal controls, and ability to adapt to evolving processes in a growing organization. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work with operations, procurement, and leadership teams.
