Remote UX/UI Design Jobs
Remote job offers for UX, UI, product and graphic designers. Work with global companies from LATAM.
This position exists to ensure the digital interfaces used in our client mandates are as clear and rigorous as our strategic analysis. We are currently supporting a major organization based in Birmingham, and this role will help build the tools used to visualize their corporate governance structures. You will translate the logic of our senior partners into functional, professional user interfaces.
About Arabian Private Holdings
Arabian Private Holdings was founded on the principle that many critical business problems do not fit the traditional large firm consulting model. A board facing a succession question or a family group weighing a capital injection does not need a team of twelve associates and a hundred page methodology deck. They need experienced partners who can sit with a problem, form a rigorous view, and defend it. We take on a limited number of mandates to ensure that every client receives direct attention from the principals who are actually accountable for the outcome. Our work covers corporate strategy, governance, and operating model efficiency for significant family groups and government entities. We operate as a fully remote firm, choosing to prioritize the quality of our analysis and the strength of our relationships over traditional office overhead.
What you will do
- Develop responsive and clean user interface components using modern web technologies.
- Collaborate with firm principals to understand the data requirements for our Birmingham based client projects.
- Maintain a consistent visual language across all digital reports and internal analytical tools.
- Build and refine dashboards that help clients achieve portfolio clarity and understand complex data sets.
- Write clean, documented code that adheres to our internal standards for simplicity and reliability.
- Debug front end issues and ensure that our tools perform reliably across different browsers and devices.
- Help transform static operating model diagrams into interactive digital components.
- Participate in internal reviews to ensure that our software tools align with the professional tone of the firm.
- Foundational knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- A basic understanding of modern front end libraries, such as React or Vue, gained through studies or personal projects.
- The ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely in writing.
- A logical mindset that prioritizes functional clarity over unnecessary visual complexity.
- Attention to detail in layout, typography, and the way information is structured on a screen.
- A willingness to learn about corporate governance and holding company structures.
We operate as a global remote firm, which means our effectiveness relies on written precision and individual accountability. Without the distractions of a physical office, we focus our energy on solving complex problems for our clients. Mentorship happens through direct interaction on active mandates, where junior team members work closely with principals to understand how to form a view and defend it. We value honesty and directness. If a solution is not working or a design is too complicated, we address it immediately. This environment requires a high level of self discipline and a genuine interest in the intersection of engineering and corporate strategy.
What the role offers
- A permanent, full time position within a principal led strategy firm.
- The flexibility of a fully remote work arrangement.
- Direct exposure to high level corporate strategy and governance projects.
- Competitive pay that is attractive for an entry level position in today's market.
- A professional environment where your work has a visible impact on client outcomes.
- Clear mentorship and a path to grow your technical skills within a specialized sector.

Proud to be:

We have nothing against image generation, but AI shouldn't be used to cover up a lack of fundamental skills (light, color, form, composition). We need people whose manual drawing skills and foundational knowledge surpass what generation can output.
Hereâs How Youâll Make an Impact:
- Symbols: Draw consistent sets with an obvious visual hierarchy. Your art must be flawlessly readable on any mobile screen
- Backgrounds: Create deep atmospheres while smartly managing the player's focus. The background should set the mood but technically guide the eye to the main elements (the reels)
- Characters: Create charismatic heroes with a twist. Properly prepare assets for animation, conceptualizing and drawing clearly readable stages and visual upgrades
- UI, Pop-ups & Features: Design cool and intuitive in-game UI. Create interface elements that evoke emotion but remain crystal clear and highly functional (smart work with typography, text, banners, and composition)
- Strong Fundamentals. Excellent understanding of design, color, light, volume, perspective, and spatial thinking
- Experience in Slots is a must. You understand the specifics of the iGaming genre, technical requirements, and know what functional slot art should look like
- Independence. We work without micromanagement. We expect you to drive your own tasks, work within given timeframes, avoid drowning in perfectionism for its own sake, and proactively resolve blockers
- English. Confident spoken level for comfortable communication and teamwork
- Character/background concept draft creation and variation expansion using Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, Nano Banana etc
- Reduce production time and build an efficient AI art pipeline by porting AI tools to existing art
- Post-fixing and high-resolution upscaling of AI productsIdentify the latest generative AI trends and provide guidance on using AI tools
- People who have a high level of understanding of modeling, color, and composition before using AI tools
- A person with excellent sophisticated prompt design and parameter control capabilities to produce the intended results
- Commercial & Personal Work: Show us what you've done for business, but also show us your studies and sketches. We want to see how you think and develop, and that you draw not just for work, but for yourself
- Teamwork / Shipped Projects: Don't be shy about attaching screenshots of finished slots and team projects! Just honestly caption your exact contribution. We know gamedev is a team sport
- Experience with Spine 2D / 3D (any software for block-outs)
- WIPs (Work in Progress steps) from your past projects
- Remote-first flexibility â Work from anywhere with a setup for deep focus and work-life balance
- Learning & growth â Development budgets and dedicated days to upskill and explore new areas
- Health & wellness â Medical coverage and well-being budgets to help you feel balanced, strong, and supported
- Yearly bonus â Rewards based on company success and your impact
- Career growth â Vertical and horizontal opportunities to grow and advance
- Global team â Talented, diverse colleagues youâll enjoy working with

We're hiring a Film Editor!!
Some months you'll be cutting something you'll want to scream and shout about... an intimate portrait of a legend like street photographer Joel Meyerowitz, a feature doc we've shot across Africa, India and Japan, or a peatlands film that's gone and won awards. Other months it's social cutdowns, versioning and getting six deliverables out the door by Friday. Both matter to us, and we put the same time and effort into both. That's sort of the whole point of Here Now.
I won't pretend it's all glamour. Post is where we feel it most when we're flat out, and right now we're flat out, with a lot of good work in and more on the way. So I want someone who actually gets a kick out of the day-to-day of editing, not just the showreel moments.
We cut primarily in DaVinci Resolve; editing, grading, motion graphics, all of it; so that needs to be your home turf. Premiere's useful to know, but Resolve is where we live.
The details, no faff:
- Remote, UK-based. London's ideal, but honestly I care more about the right person than the postcode.
- In-house â one of us, not a freelancer.
- £35kâ£42k, depending on where you're at.
- Starting early September, or whenever genuinely works for you.
To apply, send your CV and one or two things you're actually proud of to alexander@herenow.film and careers@herenow.film. Tell me what you did on them and why you made the calls you made. You can skip the cover letter, I'd much rather know how you think than read three paragraphs about being a "passionate storyteller."
Applications close 7 August.
Everything else lives here: https://www.herenow.film/careers/film-editor-job
Best,
Ed

- A team that is genuinely international. Our people come from different countries, speak different languages, and bring different perspectives. What connects us is a shared mission: fighting cybercrime and making the world safer. We care about your wellbeing and happiness as much as your output.

Mar 26 Sharing Our Engineering Ladder
Camille
I gave a talk last year at the NYC CTO summit on how and why to introduce structure into an engineering organization (slides available here). I am a fan of structure and the clarity that it can provide an organization, despite its potential downsides. I'm not going to talk about the WHY very much in this post, but I thought it was about time that I helped with the HOW.
Creating an engineering ladder (that is, the job descriptions and levels of an engineering organization) is a daunting task. If you do a half-hearted job, you're likely to cause more problems than you solve. The very first ladder I presented to my team was based on the ladder at Foursquare*. It was very simple, with one or two descriptive elements per "attribute" of engineering (technical skill, communication skill, etc), and by all accounts worked very well for their team. I hoped that this style of providing fewer details would result in people being less obsessed with the ladder, less likely to try to negotiate their level on "technicalities". Boy was I wrong. Almost immediately I had engineers debating me over whether they were at the right level, and there was a great deal of anxiety and confusion throughout the organization. I left room for generous interpretation, and it made it difficult for me to explain what I really wanted and expected.
In addition to the ladder causing problems inside of my team, we were having a hard time evaluating candidates during interviews and determining what level to hire them into. Particularly at the more senior levels, it wasn't clear what the criteria for success really looked like. So, together with my tech leads and engineering managers, we rewrote the ladder to be more specific. It has been very helpful both for the process of reviews and promotion committees as well as for the process of hiring.
I have since shared my ladder privately with several engineering managers around the country who were looking for inspiration, and today we're making it public for the benefit of all. I'm sharing this ladder not to suggest that it is the be-all end-all of engineering ladders, but to give you what I hope is a more thorough starting point than you might have seen elsewhere. After all, no one is really writing these ladders from scratch, whether we pull directly from other companies (as this one does at points), or indirectly from our past experience, so the more data points the merrier.
Without further ado, I present our engineering ladder, in both spreadsheet, and long-winded text, warts and all. Please feel free to clone this ladder and update it for use in your own organizations.
- A special thanks to Harry Heymann, Jason Liszka and Andrew Hogue, authors of the original Foursquare eng ladder!

Regardless of which curated coaching path we end up travelling along, the process starts with a deep dive into the unconscious mind and ends up with a lateral shift and a conversation with someone you never imagined. (I say ends, but thatâs really the start).
My point is this, we are all capable of polishing a CV, calling a recruiter or going to a network event but real finds are made when you step outside your networks and allow yourself to get curious.
Rather than think, who do I know, think who donât I know? Time and time again people tell me I want to do X but I donât know anyone, or they give up when a quick-fire email to friends, or friends of friends yields nothing. SLOW DOWN. Do your detective work. Challenge yourself to think outside your normal circle and widen your contact strategy. Get comfortable with using LinkedIn, it's still, in my opinion, the best platform for seeking out professionals who share your interests and voice interesting opinions. See what causes they support, and what events they pop up at. There will be someone doing something very similar to what youâd like to try somewhere in the world. 9/10 times those people are very generous with their time IF they sense a real connection and passion. And this is the point, your standard cover note and a CV will probably not be enough. Neither is the sycophantic, Iâve been a great fan approach.
Take time to do your research. What nugget of info can you share with them that shows a deeper level of interest or knowledge? Equally, as much as you want to speak to the CEO, are they the right person? A great piece of advice someone once gave to me was, to aim your intro to the middle ranks of a company. Someone within reach of the decision-makers, but not so overwhelmed with the really big stuff that they canât spare you the time. The bonus of this approach is that they, as your champion, can feel they are making a difference, and through your energy and enthusiasm, look good too.
It's easy to say donât give up, but please donât. Trust the process. Be strict about getting emails off, but equally, build a realistic framework for a reply. Nothing personal but the likelihood is, that you are at the bottom of the recipients' priorities. I like to work to a 2-week rule - no reply after 2 weeks., knock again. Keep adapting the tempo and the timing. Keep challenging yourself to think laterally about how to make contact and widen the circle of possible contact points. Creativity is your tool. Persistence is the means.
Frame your search as one of curiosity and discovery, because whilst it might not beat precisely to your âget me outta hereâ clock, it will protect you from search fatigue - the death toll for all career shifts. Keep reflecting on the evidence, If all your research is leading to the insight that you need to invest in new skills, donât just plough on, waiting to hear what you think you want to hear. Constantly re-evaluate your timeframe and reshape what you do. Be realistic. I donât mean that in the, âwho do you think you areâ sense, but the truth is, you only have so much time in a day.
Build time for research, volunteering, spec briefs etc, but keep a beady on what it is costing you - financially and time-wise. Time and money are grim reapers in the career move cast. Can you combine new learning with what you are doing right now? Constantly check your motivation levels and as Bill âDesign Your Lifeâ Burnett says, âGet good at feeling luckyâ. Thereâs evidence that people with this attitude are more likely to be tuned into the kind of interesting opportunities on the periphery of our vision. AKA, be less blinkered and try stuff.
And last but not least, get used to the idea that gut instinct is a real and valuable compass. Because it just is.

Before jumping into the list, let's quickly discuss software engineering career ladders. We can extract common traits from those career ladders; understanding those characteristics allows us to connect the dots more easily and compare different career ladders efficiently.
What Is a Career Ladder?
A career ladder, or career path, is a progression framework. It allows an organization to describe the different job levels and the expectations for a given position.
It enables the assessment of a software engineer's skills and to work on her career progression. It provides a shared framework to identify the different aspects to improve to reach the next job level.
The ladder can also be mapped with employee's compensation, increasing salaries transparency, and fairness.
Expertise Path and Manager Path (Dual-Track)
Most of the software engineering career ladders are dual tracks ladders.
They have a joint base for the first positions, and at some point, two paths are possible the expertise path and the people management path. The expertise path is often named the individual contributor track, the people management path is often called the manager track.
The career path depends on the stage of the company and the size of the team. New positions will usually appear while the engineering group is growing.
Example for a tiny team (up to 10 engineers)
You'll rarely find ladders at that scale; it's still very early stage, the team is a handful of engineers working with a CTO or a Tech Lead. In startups, the engineering lead is often the technical Co-founder and CTO.
Single Track Notes Engineer Creating solutions to business problems Senior Engineer Handling most complex parts and mentoring Engineering Lead She may handle people management aspects
At this stage, it's pretty common to have one lead developer or engineering lead who owns technical guidance and organizes the team's delivery. She is often more focused on delivery and does not handle people management which a founder still handles.
Example for a small team (~20 engineers)
At that point, the company will introduce middle management positions, usually an Engineering Manager (EM) position. The EM supports a group of 5 to 10 engineers, especially on human resources and project management aspects (ex: hiring, onboarding, organizing, coaching, delivery plan, reporting).
In some companies, EM can be very hands-on on the system part and provide technical and architecture guidance, playing both technical leader and people/team leader. Usually, the company starts to split tech guidance and people management; both require significant and specific expertise.
Individual Contributor (IC) Track People Manager Track Engineer - Senior Engineer - Tech Lead Engineering Manager
Example for a medium team (50+ engineers)
You'll start to have more levels and more expert positions at that stage. The company has usually introduced the role of Head of Engineering, Engineering Director, or VP Engineering. This role is about leading the whole engineering department; the engineering managers will report the person having this role.
Leadership has usually introduced another new role to support the technical guidance at a broader scale, for the whole system or a large part of the system. This role can be named Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, etc.
Individual Contributor (IC) Track People Manager Track Engineer - Senior Engineer - Tech Lead Engineering Manager Staff Engineer VP Engineering
Example for a large team (100 to 1000+ engineers)
At this stage, the engineering department will create a lot of new intermediary positions to capture the level of expertise and area of ownership and impact. Welcome to Senior Engineer I and II, Engineering Director, etc.
Individual Contributor (IC) Track People Manager Track Engineer I - Engineer II - Senior Engineer I - Senior Engineer II - Tech Lead Engineering Manager Senior Tech Lead Senior Engineering Manager Staff Engineer Engineering Director Senior Staff Engineer Senior Engineering Director Principal Engineer VP Engineering Senior Principal Engineer Senior VP Engineering

albo is a leading fintech company offering financial products to individuals and SMBs with the mission to bring financial freedom to everyone everywhere.
About The Role
As a Senior Backend Engineer you'll design, build, and operate the microservices that power albo's core financial products â from card issuing and authorization to credit lines, payments, and money movement. You'll own services end-to-end across our polyglot, event-driven platform, making pragmatic architectural decisions that keep money-critical flows correct, idempotent, and observable at scale. You'll work close to the domain (SPEI, ledgers, credit, authorization) and close to production, partnering with Product, Infra, and other engineering squads to ship reliable financial infrastructure.
What Youâll Be Doing At Albo
- Design, build, and maintain backend microservices in Go and Java/Quarkus within our domain-oriented architecture (customer, account, transactional, and shared domains).
- Own services end-to-end: architecture, implementation, testing, deployment to QA/SBX/PROD, monitoring, and on-call ownership of what you ship.
- Build event-driven and REST integrations across services (Pub/Sub, service-to-service REST via our private-proxy mesh), with strong guarantees around idempotency, reconciliation, and failure handling (dead-letter/reprocess, no silent data loss).
- Model and evolve data across MongoDB and SingleStore/MemSQL, keeping dual-write flows consistent between the display source of truth and what card authorization actually validates.
- Ship through our CI/CD (Jenkins shared pipelines, containerized deploys to GKE/Kubernetes on GCP), managing configuration and secrets via GCP Secret Manager.
- Write clean, self-documenting, well-tested code; participate in code reviews and raise the engineering bar for correctness and simplicity.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Infra/Platform, and other backend squads to break down epics into shippable, incremental deliveries.
- Instrument observability (structured logging, metrics, tracing) and use it to debug production issues and continuously improve reliability and performance.
- Contribute to technical design docs, architecture diagrams, and shared conventions/scaffolding that scale the team.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
- +5 years of experience building and operating backend services in production, ideally in the Banking or Fintech industry.
- Strong proficiency in at least one of Go or Java (Quarkus/Spring or similar), and willingness to work across both in a polyglot environment.
- Solid experience with microservices and distributed systems: REST APIs, asynchronous/event-driven messaging (Pub/Sub, Kafka, or similar), service boundaries, and versioned contracts.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred), containers and Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Comfort with both SQL and NoSQL data stores (MongoDB, SingleStore/MySQL/Postgres) and an eye for data consistency in money-critical flows.
- Deep understanding of reliability patterns â idempotency, retries, reconciliation, graceful degradation â and why they matter when handling real money.
- Familiarity with fintech/payments concepts (card authorization, ledgers, transfers, credit) is a strong plus.
- Customer Centricity: You're customer-obsessed, constantly thinking about improving the customer experience.
- Hands-on: We're looking for a comfortable and willing leader to be a hands-on contributor who is energized by rolling up their sleeves, making things happen, and enabling the team to do the same.
- Done is better than perfect: As things change and move quickly, you are excited by the fast pace and opportunity to constantly learn and help your team learn.
- Communication: Excellent ability to communicate internally and externally, quickly build relationships, and work cross-functionally.
- Extreme ownership: You hold yourself accountable to a high bar. You are supremely organized and see what needs to happen to achieve goals.
- Results & Data Driven: You understand the business metrics you are responsible for, and you demonstrate these insights to drive constant improvement.
