senior engineer technical devops
We're hiring a Principal Technologist into the Office of the CTO. This is a hands-on problem-solver role for someone who can walk into any room in the company, listen to what's broken, and ship a working solution — not a perfect one, but a good one that gets people moving. While the CTO and CEO are building the long-term technical and strategic vision and drive the company's most transformative initiatives, your job is to handle everything that would otherwise pull them off that focus. Business stakeholders have real problems that need real solutions now — not in six months when the grand architecture is ready. You are the person who listens, scopes the pragmatic path, and builds the thing that gets them through it. You build the bicycle, not the race car. This is not a managerial or bureaucratic role. You ship software. You build lightweight applications, automations, integrations, and workflows that solve real operational problems. You are technical, you are pragmatic, you are allergic to red tape, and you know when good enough is exactly right. You are also a counterweight. When leadership is tempted to overengineer a solution or boil the ocean, you're the voice that says: not yet. Let me get this to decent. You come back later and make it great. You have the judgment and discipline to build interim solutions that don't become permanent technical debt. As a Principal Technologist, Office of the CTO, you will:
  • Be the CTO and CEO's technical complement. Handle the problems, conversations, and stakeholder relationships that would otherwise consume their time and attention.
  • Listen to business stakeholders — operations leaders, department VPs, cross-functional partners — understand their pain, and scope pragmatic solutions. You are effortlessly approachable and people trust you to help.
  • Ship working solutions — sometimes personally, sometimes by marshaling the right engineers, analysts, or vendors across the department. You know when to build it yourself an

Overview of Job Function:

As a Software Engineer, you will be a core contributor to Verint's QM and PM engineering team. You will design and build full-stack features end-to-end, write high-quality automated tests, support production systems, and collaborate daily with Product Managers, Designers, QA Engineers, and globally distributed engineering peers. This is a role for engineers who take pride in their craft, are eager to grow through challenging problems, and want their work to have a visible impact on enterprise customers worldwide. You will be surrounded by experienced engineers who are invested in your growth, working in a modern Agile environment on software that matters.

Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:

Full-Stack Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain production-grade full-stack features spanning Java/C# backend services, REST/GraphQL APIs, and React/Ext JS frontend applications.
  • Translate product requirements and UX designs into well-structured, testable, and performant code.
  • Implement scalable microservices and modular frontend components that support high concurrency and enterprise-scale data volumes.
  • Participate in design and architecture reviews; contribute to discussions on API contracts, data models, and service boundaries.
  • Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks, security gaps, and technical debt.
  • Write clean, idiomatic code following team standards; actively contribute to improving those standards over time.

Quality Assurance and Testing

  • Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end automated tests using JUnit, Jest, Playwright, and Cucumber (BDD).
  • Enforce code quality through peer reviews, static analysis, and adherence to the team's Definition of Done.
  • Investigate and reproduce reported defects; perform root-cause analysis and deliver timely, well-tested fixes.
  • Champion a shift-left testing mindset — integrating quality checks early and continuously in the development lifecycle.

Production Support and Maintenance

  • Triage, prioritize, and resolve bugs, regression issues, and customer-reported problems within agreed SLA windows.
  • Provide Tier-2/3 technical support for production incidents; participate in post-incident reviews and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor application health using observability tooling (logs, metrics, traces); proactively surface anomalies before they impact customers.
  • Maintain and improve runbooks and operational documentation for supported features.

AI/ML Integration and Continuous Improvement

  • Integrate AI/ML capabilities — including LLM-powered features, automated scoring, and speech-to-text — into product features in collaboration with Verint's AI research teams.
  • Evaluate and pilot emerging technologies; propose adoption where they improve quality, performance, or developer productivity.
  • Identify and contribute to refactoring initiatives that reduce complexity and improve long-term maintainability.
  • Stay current with industry engineering trends through reading, experimentation, and participation in technical communities.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Work in cross-functional squads with Product Managers, UX Designers, QA Engineers, DevOps, and Data Engineers.
  • Actively participate in all Agile Scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Provide accurate effort estimates and proactively surface risks, blockers, and dependencies.
  • Collaborate effectively with distributed engineering teams in Atlanta, Israel, and India using async-first communication practices.
  • Support the growth of junior engineers through constructive code reviews and knowledge sharing.

CI/CD and DevOps Practices

  • Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps — ensuring reliable, automated build-test-deploy workflows.
  • Containerize services with Docker and deploy to Kubernetes clusters (EKS/AKS) following GitOps and IaC principles.
  • Implement secure deployment practices: secrets management, environment-specific configuration, and staged rollout strategies.
  • Optimize pipeline performance to minimize build times and deliver faster feedback loops to the team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science / software engineering (or similar) or equivalent experience
  • 3 years experience with Java Spring Boot, practical experience of software development or proven equivalent seniority in software development with product teams
  • Proven track record of delivering full-stack features in an Agile/Scrum team with regular sprint cadences.

  • Front-End: Working proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript with hands-on React experience (hooks, context, state management). HTML5, CSS3, and foundational accessible UI development. Ext JS / Sencha familiarity is a plus.
  • Databases: Working knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MS SQL, Oracle) including schema design, SQL query writing, and basic indexing. Exposure to NoSQL stores (Redis, Elasticsearch, MongoDB) is a plus.
  • Cloud and Infrastructure: Exposure to AWS or Azure core services. Familiarity with Docker and basic Kubernetes concepts.
  • Testing: JUnit/TestNG/Jest unit tests and integration tests. Exposure to E2E testing tools (Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium). BDD with Cucumber is a plus.
  • CI/CD and DevOps: Working knowledge of Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. Git branching strategies and pull request workflows.
  • AI and Emerging Tech: Exposure to LLM APIs or AI-powered tooling is a plus; curiosity and eagerness to develop these skills in the role.
  • Strong analytical thinking and a structured approach to debugging and problem-solving.
  • Clear written and verbal communication in English; able to document technical work clearly and participate actively in team discussions.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn: takes initiative to understand problems deeply and asks good questions when stuck.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented: contributes positively to squad culture and values diverse perspectives.

We also partner with our business development teams (Forward Deployed Engineers, Deployment Strategists) in order to understand and solve our customers' problems.

• Trust: We trust each other to effectively handle time and priorities, and don't micromanage. We want people to have the space to think for themselves, while feeling supported by their team.

SuperPlane is an open source control plane where AI agents and engineers run operations together. We're a team of 10, founded by the creators of Semaphore CI/CD. Our users are DevOps and platform engineers at mid-size to large engineering orgs.

We have a product engineers love, an open source repo with 2K+ stars, and events in the pipeline. What we don't have is someone dedicated to showing the world what SuperPlane can do. We ship fast but our content doesn't keep up. We need someone who can turn what we build into blog posts, tutorials, demos, and videos that resonate with practitioners.

What you'll own

This is our first DevRel hire. Your priorities, in order:

1. Video content: Create screencasts, product walkthroughs, and video demos that show SuperPlane in action. You're comfortable on camera and can produce polished content without a production team.

2. Technical content: Build working use cases and turn them into blog posts, tutorials, and guides. The typical flow: explore the product, develop a real workflow, write it up, then turn it into a video.

3. Community presence: Be SuperPlane's voice in our Discord, on Reddit, Hacker News, and relevant DevOps Slack groups. Welcome new users, answer questions, surface interesting discussions, and represent us in a natural, non-salesy way.

4. Events (occasional): Represent SuperPlane at conferences or meetups a few times per year.

What success looks like

In the first 6 months:

  • A consistent publishing cadence: written content and videos shipping weekly

  • Content that drives meaningful traffic and signups from organic search and social media shares

  • Active, visible presence in community channels where our users hang out

  • A growing library of use-case demos that the sales and product teams can reference

You're a fit if

  • You have a DevOps or platform engineering background. You've managed deployments, written CI pipelines, used tools like Terraform or Kubernetes. You could still be an engineer if you wanted to, but you prefer making content.

  • You can write working code. Your tutorials include real, runnable examples. You can spin up a staging environment, write a Lambda function, or put together a working pipeline without needing an engineer to pair with.

  • You have deep product intuition. You pick up a tool and immediately start exploring what's possible. You think in workflows and use cases, not feature lists.

  • You're curious and self-directed. You find the next interesting thing to talk about on your own. You follow the right people, notice opportunities, and don't wait to be told what to write.

  • You can produce video content. Screencasts, walkthroughs, short demos. You don't need a production team. You can do this solo with good tools.

  • You use AI tools daily. Coding agents, LLMs for drafting and review, AI-assisted prototyping. You see these as basic infrastructure for doing good work.

  • You're comfortable working async in a distributed team.

Logistics

  • Remote-first. We support co-working costs if needed.

  • Timezone: GMT-5 to GMT+3 (US East Coast through Europe).

Compensation: Early-stage startup salary (not FAANG rates) plus significant equity in a company with real traction and experienced founders. If you're looking for a safe big-company paycheck, this isn't it. If you want meaningful ownership in something that's working, let's talk.

We welcome candidates of all backgrounds, genders, orientations, ethnicities, ages, and abilities. If you're looking for a place to do your best work and know your contributions are valued, you'll feel right at home here.

senior engineer reliability devops

The Role

Pave Bank is building the future of programmable banking — combining traditional banking with digital assets under a single, regulated platform. We’re looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure our core systems are highly available, scalable, and performant as we grow.

As an SRE at Pave Bank, you’ll work closely with Engineering, Product, Security and Operations teams to build robust infrastructure, automate operations, and maintain reliability across all services. Your work will directly impact the safety, performance, and scalability of our banking platform, helping our customers trust Pave Bank with their finances.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Monitor, maintain, and improve the reliability, availability, and performance of production systems and services.

  • Build and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC), deployment pipelines, and automation to support continuous delivery, scalability, and disaster recovery.

  • Respond to incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and drive postmortems to ensure lessons learned are applied.

  • Implement and enforce operational best practices: observability, logging, metrics, alerting, capacity planning, failover strategies, and backups.

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Compliance, and Operations teams to ensure infrastructure meets reliability, compliance, and security standards.

  • Support service scaling, database operations, cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred), networking, and microservices orchestration.

  • Document operational runbooks, on-call procedures, and system architecture to support maintenance, knowledge sharing, and compliance.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong programming or scripting skills (Go, Python, Bash, or similar) for automation, tooling, and operational tasks.

  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, or equivalent).

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or similar).

  • Experience with either FluxCD or ArgoCD for GitOps-based delivery.

  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and reliability patterns.

  • Experience setting up monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, distributed tracing).

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to respond to incidents under pressure.

  • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery strategies, database management, and secure operations.

Other Skills

  • Ownership mindset: proactive, responsible, and committed to system reliability.

  • Strong communication skills — able to coordinate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment.

  • High integrity, attention to detail, and passion for fintech and programmable banking systems.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in fintech, banking, or other highly regulated industries.

  • Familiarity with compliance, security, and data protection best practices.

  • Experience with high-availability, high-throughput systems, or financial infrastructure.

  • Exposure to blockchain or crypto systems integrated with banking.

  • Experience optimizing cloud infrastructure for cost and performance under rapid growth.

Why Pave Bank?

  • Work alongside a founding team from Monzo and BigPay, bringing top-tier fintech expertise.

  • Tackle real-world reliability challenges in a regulated, fast-growing fintech environment.

  • Learn from and collaborate with experienced engineers while developing your SRE career.

  • Competitive salary and meaningful equity with room for growth.

  • Be part of a well-funded startup shaping the future of programmable banking.

About Liquid AI

Spun out of MIT CSAIL, we build general-purpose AI systems that run efficiently across deployment targets, from data center accelerators to on-device hardware, ensuring low latency, minimal memory usage, privacy, and reliability. We partner with enterprises across consumer electronics, automotive, life sciences, and financial services. We are scaling rapidly and need exceptional people to help us get there.

The Opportunity

This is a rare chance to apply frontier sequential recommendation architectures to real enterprise problems at scale. You will own applied ML work end-to-end for recommendation system workloads, adapting Liquid Foundation Models for customers who need personalization and ranking capabilities that run efficiently under production constraints.

Unlike most recommendation roles that are siloed into a single product surface, this role gives you full ownership over how large-scale recommendation models are adapted, evaluated, and deployed for enterprise customers. Between engagements, you will build reusable applied tooling and workflows that accelerate future delivery.

If you care about data quality at scale, user behavior modeling, and making recommendation systems actually work in enterprise production environments, this is the role.

What We’re Looking For

We need someone who:

  • Takes ownership: Owns customer recommendation system engagements end-to-end, from requirements through delivery and evaluation.

  • Thinks at scale: Can reason about user interaction data, sequential modeling, feature engineering, and evaluation across large-scale production systems.

  • Is pragmatic: Optimizes for measurable customer outcomes (engagement, conversion, revenue lift) over theoretical novelty.

  • Communicates clearly: Can translate between customer business metrics and internal technical decisions, and push back when needed.

The Work

  • Act as the technical owner for enterprise customer engagements involving recommendation and ranking workloads

  • Translate customer requirements into concrete specifications for recommendation models

  • Design and execute data pipelines for user interaction data, feature engineering, and training data curation at scale

  • Fine-tune and adapt large-scale sequential recommendation models (e.g., HSTU-style architectures) for customer-specific use cases

  • Design task-specific evaluations for recommendation model performance (ranking quality, latency, throughput) and interpret results

  • Build reusable applied tooling and workflows that accelerate future customer engagements

Desired Experience

Must-have:

  • Hands-on experience building or fine-tuning recommendation models at scale (not just off-the-shelf collaborative filtering)

  • Experience with sequential recommendation architectures, user behavior modeling, or large-scale ranking systems

  • Strong intuition for data quality and evaluation design in recommendation contexts (offline metrics, A/B testing, business metric alignment)

  • Experience with large-scale data pipelines for user interaction data and feature engineering

  • Proficiency in Python and PyTorch with autonomous coding and debugging ability

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with transformer-based recommendation architectures (HSTU, SASRec, BERT4Rec, or similar)

  • Experience delivering recommendation systems to external customers with measurable business outcomes

  • Familiarity with serving recommendation models under latency and throughput constraints

What Success Looks Like (Year One)

  • Independently owns and delivers enterprise recommendation system engagements with minimal oversight

  • Is trusted by customers as the technical owner, demonstrating strong judgment on the tradeoffs between model quality, latency, and business impact

  • Has built reusable applied workflows or tooling that accelerate future customer engagements

What We Offer

  • Real ML work: You will build and adapt large-scale recommendation models for enterprise customers, working with frontier architectures like HSTU under real production constraints.

  • Compensation: Competitive base salary with equity in a unicorn-stage company

  • Health: We pay 100% of medical, dental, and vision premiums for employees and dependents

  • Financial: 401(k) matching up to 4% of base pay

  • Time Off: Unlimited PTO plus company-wide Refill Days throughout the year
