About Pivotal Health
Pivotal Health is the leading technology platform that helps healthcare providers get paid fairly in an increasingly complex reimbursement landscape.
Today, many providers face persistent underpayment from health insurance companies, despite delivering high-quality care. While processes like IDR (Independent Dispute Resolution) were designed to promote fairness, theyâre often administrative-heavy, time-consuming, and difficult to navigate without the right tools.
Pivotal Health combines software, data, and service into a seamlessly integrated, AI-driven platform that simplifies these complex reimbursement workflows. We help providers efficiently dispute underpaid claims, reduce administrative burden, and recover the reimbursement theyâre entitled to; without adding more work to already stretched teams.
Our full-service IDR solution is just the starting point. Weâre building solutions that enable providers to operate with clarity, control, and confidence across the reimbursement journey.
About the Role
We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join Pivotal's Case Execution team. This team owns critical parts of the case execution workflow, including eligibility, batching, submissions, ops workflows, and claim orchestration. These systems sit at the operational core of how Pivotal delivers outcomes for providers.
This is a strong fit for an engineer who enjoys solving complex, workflow-driven backend problems and working through data-heavy decision logic. The most technically demanding areas for this team are eligibility and batching, and the right person is energized by that kind of work rather than looking to avoid it.
What You'll Do
Build and improve core case execution systems: Own backend development across eligibility, batching, submissions, ops workflows, and claim orchestration. These are the systems that determine how cases move through Pivotal's platform and reach resolution.
Tackle complex, data-driven backend problems: Work through the decision logic and data-heavy workflows that make eligibility and batching hard, understanding not just how individual systems work, but how they interact across the broader platform.
Contribute to workflow orchestration: Build and improve the systems that coordinate how cases are staged, routed, and executed end to end, with a clear eye toward correctness and reliability.
Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with the Integrations team, Case Strategy team, and other engineering and product partners to ensure systems are well-connected and aligned with how the broader platform operates.
Contribute to front-end and admin workflows where needed: The role is primarily backend-focused, but you'll contribute to internal-facing UI and ops tooling where the product requires it.
Who You Are
5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong backend focus
Strong engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience building data-heavy, workflow-oriented systems
Experience working on complex, data-driven decision logic or orchestration problems: you're comfortable with systems where correctness and sequencing both matter
Comfortable operating in a collaborative, fast-moving startup environment where ownership and requirements evolve
Python experience; able to work effectively in a Python-based backend environment
Self-directed and proactive: you identify problems and drive them to resolution without heavy oversight
Strong communicator who collaborates well across engineering, product, and adjacent teams
Extra Credit If You Have
Experience with healthcare-specific data or HealthTech systems
Exposure to data-heavy architectures or problems adjacent to data engineering without being a pure data engineer
Familiarity with tools like Snowflake, dbt, or Databricks
Some front-end experience to support admin workflow contributions
Why Youâll Love Working Here
Weâre a collaborative, low-ego team on a mission to make healthcare reimbursement fairer for providers. While we primarily hire around our core hubsâLos Angeles and New Yorkâwe remain open to exceptional talent outside those regions. Remote and hybrid flexibility varies by role and team, and is outlined in each job description.
If youâre excited by solving complex problems and making a real-world impact, weâd love to hear from you.
Benefits Include:
Competitive compensation, including equity
Full health, dental, and vision coverage
Retirement savings plan through 401(k)
Flexible time off
Opportunities for company-wide connection and events
Ready to Make an Impact?
Weâre building something meaningful; and we want you on the team.
Bring your ideas, curiosity, and drive, and letâs transform healthcare reimbursement together.

Founding Engineer (US)
Build the AI platform that's rewriting a $50B industry
Salary range - $180-220k USD + Equity + Benefits
About Haast
We're building one of the first agentic systems for enterprise legal and compliance teams that actually automates their manual work. End-to-end. Delivering 80% faster compliance reviews and 4x productivity gains.
We recently closed a $12M USD Series A (Peak XV Partners, DST Global, Airtree) and are growing fast in the US; building the infrastructure that will completely re-define how enterprises think about compliance.
Think Canva for design. Atlassian for projects. Haast for compliance.
The Problem
Compliance is a $50B global challenge. Enterprise legal and compliance teams spend a significant amount of time manually reviewing documents against policy, spotting regulatory risk, and signing off on content before go-to-market. It's painful and it's mission-critical.
We're building the infrastructure that makes this manageable at scale. You'll be working on systems that directly reduce risk and unlock productivity for some of the world's largest organisations.
The Role
As our first US based Engineer; you'll be the technical bridge between our product vision and our customers' reality.
You're a full-stack engineer who thrives at the intersection of innovation and execution, building our platform while staying connected to the teams actually using it.
You'll split your time between heads-down building (shipping code that matters) and being engaged with customers, understanding their pain points firsthand, iterating on features in real-time, and using that feedback to shape our product direction.
You'll own end-to-end technical decisions: designing systems, shipping to production, and iterating based on direct customer interaction.
This is high-autonomy work. You'll collaborate directly with our founding team, move at startup velocity, and have genuine influence over both our architecture and product roadmap.
What You'll Own
Design, architect, and ship full-stack features that directly solve our customers compliance challenges
Own the technical relationship with key customers; implementing solutions, gathering requirements, and translating feedback into product improvements
Build scalable services and APIs that power our LLM compliance platform while keeping the customer experience front and center
Make high-impact technical decisions quickly, knowing that you'll be accountable to both our engineering standards and our customers
Challenge assumptions on "why" and "how", you'll directly influence what we build and how we build it
Shape our product roadmap and engineering practices as we scale from Series A to market leadership
Who We're Looking For
You've built full-stack systems at meaningful scale; you're equally comfortable architecting backend services and shipping frontend code that customers interact with daily
You're deep on one or more of: Go, Node.js/TypeScript, or Python, and you're fluent enough across the stack to own features end-to-end
You understand APIs, distributed systems, and the tradeoffs between speed and reliability in production environments
You genuinely enjoy working with customers; you're not just shipping features, you want to understand the human problem you're solving
You've shipped in fast-moving environments and understand what it takes to move quickly without breaking things
You're curious about how LLMs work and excited about building practical applications on top of them, not just the theory
Why Join Haast
Competitive benefits: PTO, Health, Dental, Vision, 401k
Real impact, day one: Your code runs inside the workflows of major global enterprises immediately. You're solving mission-critical compliance problems that directly reduce risk and unlock productivity.
Forward-deployed influence: You'll spend time with customers, understanding their pain points and having direct input into product decisions. Your customer insights will shape our roadmap.
Equity upside: We're building a generational company in a $50B market. You'll own a meaningful stake in that value creation and be part of the defines how Haast scales. We believe in sharing success with the people who build it.
Exceptional learning velocity: You'll learn more about scaling systems, working with customers, building products, and navigating the demands of a fast-growing startup in 12 months here than most roles offer in three years.
Engineering-driven culture: No red tape. We hire smart people and get out of their way. Your voice matters in how we build.
Flexibility and community: Fully remote across the US or Canada.
How to Apply
We're looking for people who've shipped things they're proud of and want to work on a problem that genuinely matters.
Apply with:
Your CV
A brief note on this question: Tell us about a time you worked with customers to ship something they actually needed. What did it take to achieve the outcome?
No closing date. We review applications on a rolling basis.
At Haast, we believe bold ideas come from diverse perspectives. We're committed to building a team that reflects the world we work in. Even if you don't tick every box, we'd love to hear from you.

Slingshot AI
Slingshot AI is the team behind Ash, the first AI designed for mental health. Our mission is to make support more accessible and help people change their lives in the ways they want.
Weâre building a world-class team by empowering individuals with the autonomy, flexibility, and support they need to do their best work. We dream big, iterate fast, and care deeply. If that sounds like you, weâd love to hear from you.
Our team spans machine learning, product, engineering, conversational design, clinical, growth, and operations, with offices in both New York City and London.
We're a well-funded Series A company, having raised $93M from Andreessen Horowitz, Radical Ventures, Forerunner Ventures, plus top-tier tech investors involved in ElevenLabs, Captions, Shopify, Plaid, Notion, Canva, Twitch, Airtable, and many others.
The role
This is a chance to join a passionate team leveraging cutting-edge AI to improve mental health access globally. As a Member of Technical Staff focused on Production Engineering, you will build the platform that powers Ash at scale. You'll work across voice and AI stacks, internal services, and the data systems around them, improving observability, deployment, and platform tooling to scale reliably.
As a core member of a small but highly skilled team, we expect you to act as an owner and to care passionately about delivering value to our users and ultimately to make people's lives better. We are looking for builders who care deeply about the quality of their work and want to ship things that make a real difference in people's lives.
Our tech stack uses Dart/Flutter for the app, Kotlin for core backend services, Python for our ML work, Next.js/TypeScript for internal tooling, as well as Rust for low level media streaming. We use gRPC and GCP (Kubernetes, Cloud Run) as our primary cloud provider. You're not required to be an expert in all of these tools, but we would like you to come with a learning mindset and to not be afraid of getting your hands dirty with whatever tool the job might require.
About You
- 6+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record of operating production systems at meaningful scale in high-growth, high-quality environments.
- Strong systems instincts and real opinions about latency, reliability, and cost. You know what breaks first under load, and you design around it.
- Driven by creating a world-class product with a world-class team, want to own what you build, and you're happy redesigning systems as production teaches you something new.
- Comfortable building across the full stack, a keen learner who picks up new languages, technology stacks, and concepts quickly.
- Experience working in a fast paced environment, taking systems from prototype to scaled production in weeks.
- Experience working on production AI inference or model serving systems.
- Experience working on realtime systems such as voice, live communications, or streaming.
- Experience working on large-scale data pipelines or evaluation systems.
- Experience working with ML codebases (we don't need you to be an ML Engineer, but having an interest in AI helps!)
- Collaborate within a cross-functional team spanning engineering, machine learning, and product to quickly design, build, and launch new features across the stack.
- Work comfortably across all parts of our stack, which includes core backend (Kotlin), ML scripts for evaluation, data processing, and inference (Python), low-level media streaming (Rust), the app (Dart/Flutter), and internal tooling (Next.js/TypeScript).
- Elevate user experience by continually refining the reliability, performance, and scalability of the systems behind Ash.
- Rapidly investigate, diagnose, and resolve production issues with a focus on latency, reliability, and cost.
- Take initiative to independently prototype new features based on customer feedback and your own product intuitions.
- A chance to join a passionate tight-knit team working on something to change the world
- Competitive compensation (top of personal market)
- Travel between our NYC / London offices
- Usual startup perks like free lunch and coffee in office + generous learning budget
- We cover your personal therapy

About Liquid AI
Spun out of MIT CSAIL, we build general-purpose AI systems that run efficiently across deployment targets, from data center accelerators to on-device hardware, ensuring low latency, minimal memory usage, privacy, and reliability. We partner with enterprises across consumer electronics, automotive, life sciences, and financial services. We are scaling rapidly and need exceptional people to help us get there.
The Opportunity
This is a rare chance to apply frontier sequential recommendation architectures to real enterprise problems at scale. You will own applied ML work end-to-end for recommendation system workloads, adapting Liquid Foundation Models for customers who need personalization and ranking capabilities that run efficiently under production constraints.
Unlike most recommendation roles that are siloed into a single product surface, this role gives you full ownership over how large-scale recommendation models are adapted, evaluated, and deployed for enterprise customers. Between engagements, you will build reusable applied tooling and workflows that accelerate future delivery.
If you care about data quality at scale, user behavior modeling, and making recommendation systems actually work in enterprise production environments, this is the role.
What Weâre Looking For
We need someone who:
Takes ownership: Owns customer recommendation system engagements end-to-end, from requirements through delivery and evaluation.
Thinks at scale: Can reason about user interaction data, sequential modeling, feature engineering, and evaluation across large-scale production systems.
Is pragmatic: Optimizes for measurable customer outcomes (engagement, conversion, revenue lift) over theoretical novelty.
Communicates clearly: Can translate between customer business metrics and internal technical decisions, and push back when needed.
The Work
Act as the technical owner for enterprise customer engagements involving recommendation and ranking workloads
Translate customer requirements into concrete specifications for recommendation models
Design and execute data pipelines for user interaction data, feature engineering, and training data curation at scale
Fine-tune and adapt large-scale sequential recommendation models (e.g., HSTU-style architectures) for customer-specific use cases
Design task-specific evaluations for recommendation model performance (ranking quality, latency, throughput) and interpret results
Build reusable applied tooling and workflows that accelerate future customer engagements
Desired Experience
Must-have:
Hands-on experience building or fine-tuning recommendation models at scale (not just off-the-shelf collaborative filtering)
Experience with sequential recommendation architectures, user behavior modeling, or large-scale ranking systems
Strong intuition for data quality and evaluation design in recommendation contexts (offline metrics, A/B testing, business metric alignment)
Experience with large-scale data pipelines for user interaction data and feature engineering
Proficiency in Python and PyTorch with autonomous coding and debugging ability
Nice-to-have:
Experience with transformer-based recommendation architectures (HSTU, SASRec, BERT4Rec, or similar)
Experience delivering recommendation systems to external customers with measurable business outcomes
Familiarity with serving recommendation models under latency and throughput constraints
What Success Looks Like (Year One)
Independently owns and delivers enterprise recommendation system engagements with minimal oversight
Is trusted by customers as the technical owner, demonstrating strong judgment on the tradeoffs between model quality, latency, and business impact
Has built reusable applied workflows or tooling that accelerate future customer engagements
What We Offer
Real ML work: You will build and adapt large-scale recommendation models for enterprise customers, working with frontier architectures like HSTU under real production constraints.
Compensation: Competitive base salary with equity in a unicorn-stage company
Health: We pay 100% of medical, dental, and vision premiums for employees and dependents
Financial: 401(k) matching up to 4% of base pay
Time Off: Unlimited PTO plus company-wide Refill Days throughout the year

About the Role
We're hiring a Senior ML Engineer to be the data team's owner of production ML and AI agent systems. You'll take models from prototype to production, build and maintain the low-latency ML API that powers our Next Best Action (NBA) engine, and partner with our HAL team to ship LLM agents that turn NBA recommendations into real conversations with credit union members and partners. This is a builder's role at a builder's moment: NBA is going live, the agent infrastructure is being shaped now, and you'll define how Clutch does production AI for years to come.
About the Team
The Data team today is five people: one data scientist, two data engineers, one data analyst, and one product manager. We're small, ambitious, and shipping fast â two ML models heading to production, an ML API being built, and two AI agents (one customer-facing, one partner-facing) in active development. You'll be the senior technical voice for ML and AI engineering inside the team, and the bridge to HAL, the platform team that builds Clutch's agent runtime. Expect tight feedback loops, real autonomy, and a team that values pragmatism over purity.
What Youâll Do
Within 3 months, you will:
Take ownership of the ML API that serves NBA recommendations, partnering with the data engineer who's been building it, and harden it for low-latency production traffic
Ship your first agent tool contract end-to-end: schema design, handler implementation, structured-error contract, unit tests, deployed via HAL's runtime
Set up the eval foundation for our agents: golden transcripts, rubric-based judges, regression suites that run on every prompt or model change
Build a working relationship with HAL and become the data team's go-to on agent infrastructure decisions
Within 6 months, you will:
Be the primary owner (with data engineer support) of the ML API and the agent tool layer that wraps NBA and our ML models
Have shipped at least one production-grade agent (customer-facing or partner-facing) with prompt versioning, evals, observability, and multi-tenant gating in place
Define the data team's playbook for shipping a new ML model as an LLM-callable tool, end-to-end
Mentor the data engineers on ML/AI patterns so they can confidently support and extend the systems you own
Within 9 months, you will:
Operate as the technical lead within the data team for NBA production AI at Clutch â the person other teams come to when they want to understand how NBA ships ML and agents responsibly
Have measurably improved agent cost and latency (target: 30%+ reduction on P95 latency or per-conversation cost on at least one agent)
Be shaping the data team's roadmap for the next generation of ML and AI products, in partnership with the PM and data scientist
Help us decide what to hire next as the team scales
What Youâll Bring
Required
7+ years of engineering experience, with a proven track record of building and shipping production ML systems â you've taken models from prototype to production and own what happens after deploy
Strong Python â most of the work (ML training, evaluation, the ML API, data pipelines) is in Python, and you're comfortable in production codebases, not just notebooks. Some TypeScript is involved for tool contracts and integration with our agent runtime â you don't need to be an expert, comfort with a second language is enough
Tool-design discipline for LLM consumption. Can take an ML model or data source and shape it into an LLM-callable tool with narrow input/output schemas, identity-required and scope-gated dispatch, and structured-error contracts (RATE_LIMITED, UPSTREAM_ERROR, NOT_FOUND) that the agent runtime converts to graceful tool-results instead of crashing
Eval discipline for non-deterministic systems. You treat evals as the unit-test equivalent for agents: golden transcripts, rubric-based judges, regression suites that run on every prompt or model change. You understand the difference between offline metrics and online evals, and use both
Prompt-shape literacy. You read a system prompt the way another engineer reads code: audience, register, compliance guardrails, template-var allow-list, allowed-tools section. You debug "why did the agent do that?" by reading the prompt and tool descriptions before reaching for model swaps. You've shipped at least one agent where the prompt was version-controlled and reviewed as code
Tool implementation rigor. You build handlers behind tool contracts with identity fields read from request context (never from LLM-supplied args), output re-parsed through the tool's schema before return, structured-error throws on every failure path, and unit tests covering both happy path and each named error. You have a story about a tool you shipped, a bug production traffic surfaced, and how you hardened it
Experience building and maintaining low-latency production APIs (FastAPI, BentoML, or equivalent), with opinions on serving, batching, and caching
Comfortable in AWS (Lambda especially), Docker, and GitHub-based workflows
You use AI tooling actively in your engineering workflow â not as a novelty, but as a default. You'll be expected to demonstrate this during the technical evaluation
Desired
Production agent observability: reading audit rows, distributed traces, per-tool latency and error metrics
Cost and latency tradeoff intuition in agent loops â has measurably reduced per-conversation cost or P95 latency on a live agent
Familiarity with an agent runtime framework (Vercel AI SDK, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or equivalent)
Multi-tenant agent gating experience
Prior SaaS and/or FinTech experience
Nice to have but not required: Databricks, PySpark, Terraform
Please note that this role may evolve as our business needs change, so we appreciate your flexibility and adaptability.

About Us
Clutch is a revolutionary vertical SaaS company, proudly backed by Andreessen Horowitz (A16z), aimed at revolutionizing the way Credit Unions engage and change the lives of their members. As a champion of financial well-being, we address the urgent need for affordable lending solutions in an era where the average American grapples with over $155,000 in household debt. Unlike traditional financial institutions, Clutch develops software to turn Credit Unions into FinTech lenders and leverage their balance sheets to responsibly lend to over 130M Americans. Our mission extends beyond mere financial transactions; we strive to fundamentally enhance the way credit unions interact with their members. By integrating cutting-edge technologies and user-centric designs, we help credit unions provide seamless digital experiences that are on par with leading tech companies. This approach not only preserves but revitalizes the longstanding tradition of community and member-focused service inherent to credit unions.
