Supply & Logistics Coordinator
  • Nabu Casa
  • Dublin, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland
analyst teaching customer support data science
About Nabu Casa

Nabu Casa is the organisation behind Home Assistant, the world's largest free and open-source smart home platform used by over two million households. We were founded to ensure the project's sustainability, and in 2024, we partnered with the Open Home Foundation to protect and promote a wide range of open-source initiatives. Our guiding principles—privacy, choice, and sustainability—are embedded in everything we do, from our architecture to our community.

We are a profitable company with no external investors. Our funding comes directly from users who subscribe to Home Assistant Cloud and purchase Home Assistant hardware, ensuring our only stakeholders are our employees and our users. We also support other open-source projects, including those focused on hardware, standards, and voice technology.

The Role

Nabu Casa is looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator to own the flow of our hardware products — from manufacturers to distributors, and ultimately to the homes of the people running Home Assistant.

As the official provider of Home Assistant hardware, we ship to a passionate global community, and this role is central to keeping that operation running reliably. You'll own the day-to-day: purchase orders, manufacturer coordination, logistics, distributor support, inventory, and RMA handling — and you'll be the person who turns how we do these things into documented, repeatable processes.

As part of our continued commercial growth, we are expanding the Commercial team with several key hires that will help shape the next phase of Nabu Casa’s global operations and partner ecosystem. This role will play an important part in supporting and scaling our international hardware operations across regions and distribution channels.

We're hiring because we're growing fast and need someone to take full ownership so the work scales with us. You'll have real autonomy from day one: if a shipment is delayed, a distributor has an urgent issue, or stock needs to be allocated across regions, you take it and drive it to resolution.

You'll work closely with our Global Channel Manager, Hardware team, and Finance team, and directly with manufacturers, distributors, and logistics partners. You'll be part of the Commercial team and report to our VP Commercial, based in Norway.

Why this role, and why now

  • You'll own a function, not a queue. This is a step up for someone who has coordinated logistics or supply chain inside a more structured company and is ready to run the whole thing themselves. Success looks like the supply chain operating well without anyone above you in the daily detail.
  • You'll build the structure, not just maintain it. We're small and deliberately light on process. You'll bring the good practices you've seen elsewhere, document them as SOPs, and shape how this function works as the company scales.
  • It's operational and strategic. Beyond running the day-to-day, you'll analyse forecast data to decide when and how much to order, and use modern tools — including AI-assisted workflows — to do it well.
  • AI works for you here. We invest in AI to support our people, not replace them.
  • Stable and mission-driven. Profitable, no investors, funded by the community we serve. You're building something that lands in millions of real homes.

What You'll Do

  • Own the end-to-end flow of hardware products from manufacturers to distributors across multiple regions
  • Place and manage manufacturer purchase orders and track them through to delivery
  • Coordinate directly with manufacturers on lead times, production schedules, shipment planning, and day-to-day issues
  • Support distributors with back-office tasks: order coordination, delivery updates, and issue resolution
  • Manage order flow, inventory updates, and data in NetSuite
  • Handle partial deliveries, stock allocation decisions, and inventory coordination across regions
  • Coordinate global logistics with freight forwarders and logistics partners
  • Run the RMA process end to end, including coordination, root-cause tracking, and reconciliation with manufacturers
  • Analyse forecast data and inventory levels to support purchasing decisions on when and how much to order
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures and supply chain documentation
  • Identify bottlenecks and continuously improve the supply chain as the company scales
  • Work cross-functionally with the Hardware, Commercial, and Finance teams to keep everything aligned

What You Need To Have

  • 4+ years in supply chain, logistics, purchasing, or operations, with direct, hands-on ownership of the work
  • Direct experience coordinating with manufacturers — placing and managing purchase orders, and working with them on lead times and production schedules. Experience with factories in China (or elsewhere in Asia) is strongly preferred
  • Cultural fluency communicating with international manufacturing partners, particularly in Asia — you understand professional norms and know when directness or informality is and isn't appropriate
  • A practical grasp of inventory management, stock allocation, and partial deliveries — you've solved these problems for real, not just in theory
  • Experience coordinating international shipments and logistics
  • Experience with an ERP system (NetSuite, SAP, Odoo, or similar) and confidence placing POs and managing deliveries within one
  • A track record of bringing structure: documenting processes, writing SOPs, and improving workflows — ideally drawn from a company that already had solid supply chain practices you can adapt for us
  • The ability to operate independently with minimal structure and high ownership in a fast-moving environment
  • An analytical mindset — comfortable using reporting and forecast data to drive decisions
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills

It would be great if you also have

  • Specific experience with NetSuite
  • Experience in hardware, consumer electronics, or e-commerce operations (e-commerce is a great fit if you've had direct contact with manufacturers)
  • Familiarity with AI tools and automation workflows
  • Experience supporting distributor or channel operations
  • Personal experience using Home Assistant, and an affinity with open-source, community-driven products

What we offer You

Nabu Casa is a fully remote company that uses Remote to employ people from all over the world. You will be a normal salaried employee in your country, and no work visa is required.

This is a full-time position for 40 hours per week. Because we are a fully remote company, there is no fixed schedule. For the purpose of team communication, we do try to ensure at least 3 hours of overlap in the workday. You will be part of the Commercial team, and you will report to our VP Commercial, based in Norway (UTC +01:00 / +02:00).

Core to the establishment of Nabu Casa was the well-being of the people building Home Assistant. We will provide all the benefits required by the country you reside in. However, we also want to make sure all our employees, regardless of country of origin, get at least a minimal set of benefits, including:

  • Five weeks (twenty-five days) of paid time off
  • Fourteen days of paid sick leave if your country/laws treat them as unpaid
  • Six weeks of paid and six weeks of unpaid parental leave to be used in the first year after birth. We will provide the missing days if your country/laws do not provide such compensation
  • A budget to equip your home workspace once you start. After three years, you may keep this equipment for personal use
  • A monthly smart home budget to ensure you keep up-to-date with the latest that smart homes offer
  • A 50% contribution to your internet connection fee at your home workspace
  • If you are currently working on Home Assistant-related side projects, you can spend work time maintaining them

When first offering a position to a new member, Nabu Casa aims to provide a total compensation package that matches the 75th percentile for the new hire's role, seniority, and local market rates. In our primary operating countries, the approximate yearly compensation will be the following:

Greece: 34.000 - 46.600 EUR

Hungary: 15.000.000 - 19.600.000 HUF

Italy: 49.100 - 67.100 EUR

Poland: 260.000 - 330.000 PLN

Portugal: 44.500 - 59.700 EUR

Romania: 178.000 - 221.000 RON

Spain: 49.000 - 68.000 EUR

UK: 56.200 - 74.000 GBP

  • Other countries: Compensation can be discussed during the first interview.

About Us

Nabu Casa funds the development of Home Assistant and other projects at the Open Home Foundation. Nabu Casa is best known as the organization driving the development of Home Assistant, the world's largest free and open-source smart home platform. More than two million households benefit from its home automation capabilities. Powered by a worldwide community of open-source developers, GitHub ranked it the most active open-source project in the world in 2024.

We were initially founded to ensure that the development of Home Assistant would remain sustainable as it kept growing, but over time it has grown to support more open home initiatives. In 2024, the Open Home Foundation was formed to protect these open-source projects and ensure they thrive into the future. Nabu Casa is a commercial partner of the foundation, and our principles are aligned with a joint commitment to privacy, choice, and sustainability in the smart home. About Phaidra Phaidra is building the future of industrial automation. The world today is filled with static, monolithic infrastructure. Factories, power plants, buildings, etc. operate the same they've operated for decades — because the controls programming is hard-coded. Thousands of lines of rules and heuristics that define how the machines interact with each other. The result of all this hard-coding is that facilities are frozen in time, unable to adapt to their environment while their performance slowly degrades. Phaidra creates AI-powered control systems for the industrial sector, enabling industrial facilities to automatically learn and improve over time. Specifically: We use reinforcement learning algorithms to provide this intelligence, converting raw sensor data into high-value actions and decisions. We focus on industrial applications, which tend to be well-sensorized with measurable KPIs — perfect for reinforcement learning. We enable domain experts (our users) to configure the AI control systems (i.e. agents) without writing code. They define what they want their AI agents to do, and we do it for them. Our team has a track record of applying AI to some of the toughest problems. From achieving superhuman performance with DeepMind's AlphaGo, to reducing the energy required to cool Google's Data Centers by 40%, we deeply understand AI and how to apply it in production for massive impact. Phaidra’s ability to achieve its mission is determined by our ability to work together — as defined by our core values: Transparency, Collaboration, Operational Excellence, Ownership, and Empathy. Junior UI Engineer
  • Arabian Private Holdings
  • Birmingham, Birmingham, England, United Kingdom
design react consulting technical
About the role
This position exists to ensure the digital interfaces used in our client mandates are as clear and rigorous as our strategic analysis. We are currently supporting a major organization based in Birmingham, and this role will help build the tools used to visualize their corporate governance structures. You will translate the logic of our senior partners into functional, professional user interfaces.

About Arabian Private Holdings
Arabian Private Holdings was founded on the principle that many critical business problems do not fit the traditional large firm consulting model. A board facing a succession question or a family group weighing a capital injection does not need a team of twelve associates and a hundred page methodology deck. They need experienced partners who can sit with a problem, form a rigorous view, and defend it. We take on a limited number of mandates to ensure that every client receives direct attention from the principals who are actually accountable for the outcome. Our work covers corporate strategy, governance, and operating model efficiency for significant family groups and government entities. We operate as a fully remote firm, choosing to prioritize the quality of our analysis and the strength of our relationships over traditional office overhead.

What you will do
  • Develop responsive and clean user interface components using modern web technologies.
  • Collaborate with firm principals to understand the data requirements for our Birmingham based client projects.
  • Maintain a consistent visual language across all digital reports and internal analytical tools.
  • Build and refine dashboards that help clients achieve portfolio clarity and understand complex data sets.
  • Write clean, documented code that adheres to our internal standards for simplicity and reliability.
  • Debug front end issues and ensure that our tools perform reliably across different browsers and devices.
  • Help transform static operating model diagrams into interactive digital components.
  • Participate in internal reviews to ensure that our software tools align with the professional tone of the firm.

What we are looking for
  • Foundational knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • A basic understanding of modern front end libraries, such as React or Vue, gained through studies or personal projects.
  • The ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely in writing.
  • A logical mindset that prioritizes functional clarity over unnecessary visual complexity.
  • Attention to detail in layout, typography, and the way information is structured on a screen.
  • A willingness to learn about corporate governance and holding company structures.

How we work
We operate as a global remote firm, which means our effectiveness relies on written precision and individual accountability. Without the distractions of a physical office, we focus our energy on solving complex problems for our clients. Mentorship happens through direct interaction on active mandates, where junior team members work closely with principals to understand how to form a view and defend it. We value honesty and directness. If a solution is not working or a design is too complicated, we address it immediately. This environment requires a high level of self discipline and a genuine interest in the intersection of engineering and corporate strategy.

What the role offers
  • A permanent, full time position within a principal led strategy firm.
  • The flexibility of a fully remote work arrangement.
  • Direct exposure to high level corporate strategy and governance projects.
  • Competitive pay that is attractive for an entry level position in today's market.
  • A professional environment where your work has a visible impact on client outcomes.
  • Clear mentorship and a path to grow your technical skills within a specialized sector.

About Check

Payroll is broken. Come fix it alongside a team that’s as passionate as you are!

At Check, we’re not just building our own business — we’re building payroll businesses together with every one of our partners. As the inventors of embedded payroll, we’re redefining how people get paid and making it easier for payroll businesses to launch, grow, and thrive.

On our team you'll use creative problem-solving, critical thinking, and grit to simplify the complexity of payroll for thousands of employers of every size, across all industries. We ignore conventional role boundaries in favor of the unique strengths and values each builder brings to our mission: make paying people simple.

  • Check out the full story
  • Tune in

Check is far more than just API infrastructure. We’re a springboard for building and scaling payroll businesses.

The Support team plays a critical role in keeping payroll running for thousands of businesses and millions of workers by supporting the platforms that build payroll products on top of Check's infrastructure. When questions arise or something doesn't behave as expected, we investigate what happened, explain it clearly, and drive toward a solution.

This role sits at the intersection of payroll expertise and technical product knowledge, and the work is fast-moving, analytical, and highly investigative. A typical day involves untangling complex payroll scenarios, identifying root causes, partnering across the company to solve problems, and communicating clearly with partners whose payroll expertise may range from seasoned professionals to first-time operators. Along the way, you'll develop deep expertise in Check's platform, payroll operations, and the broader payroll ecosystem while building trusted relationships with the partner teams you support.

Support sits at the center of Check's product ecosystem. We work closely with Engineering, Product, Tax, Risk, and other teams to troubleshoot issues, surface product insights, and improve the platform. Few roles offer the same visibility into how modern payroll infrastructure operates at scale. If you enjoy solving layered problems, asking thoughtful questions, and translating technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance, you'll thrive here.

In This Role, You Will

  • Provide exceptional partner support. You'll manage a high volume of partner requests, primarily through written communication, balancing urgency with thoughtful investigation while consistently meeting or exceeding SLAs.
  • Investigate complex payroll problems. You'll dive deep into payroll and tax questions, break issues into manageable pieces, trace root causes through our systems, and drive issues toward resolution with accuracy, curiosity, and ownership.
  • Collaborate across the company to resolve issues. You'll partner closely with Engineering, Product, Tax, Risk, and other teams to troubleshoot issues, escalate bugs, and help drive solutions that unblock partners quickly.
  • Surface patterns and improve the system. You'll identify recurring partner questions, operational friction points, and product trends, surfacing insights that improve documentation, workflows, and product behavior.
  • Build trusted relationships. Whether you’re working with experienced payroll professionals or teams who are brand new to the industry, you’ll build trust by bringing empathy, ownership, and transparency to every interaction and explaining technical or operational issues in ways they understand.
  • Escalate thoughtfully. You’ll exercise careful judgment about how and when to pull others in on a problem or escalate upward, and you’ll ensure everyone has clear context so they can quickly understand the problem and help identify a path to resolution.
  • Deliver service that feels personal. You’ll build lasting relationships with our partners by developing a deep understanding of their platforms and the businesses they serve. You’ll establish yourself as a reliable and trusted resource by making people feel heard, helped, and valued.

Many backgrounds could fit this role, but ideal candidates will have most or all of the following:

  • 2+ years in a client- or partner-facing role, supporting customers, partners, or technical products.
  • 1+ years working at a payroll provider, payroll platform, HR technology company, fintech company, or in a role that required applying payroll knowledge to solve customer problems
  • Experience balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced support or operations environment
  • Strong investigative instincts and genuine curiosity to understand not just what happened, but why
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy while solving complex problems
  • Comfortable collaborating across technical, operational, and administrative teams to solve partner problems and enable new business capabilities
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical or operational concepts clearly and empathetically
  • Experience using ticketing or case management systems (Zendesk preferred)
  • Willingness and availability to attend our annual 3 day company offsite each spring

Travel & Office Policy

The Check team is distributed across the US. Roles can be remote, hybrid, or based in one of our offices in New York City or San Francisco. We offer ample opportunities and encourage employees to attend team offsites, events, and hackathons throughout year. All Checketeers gather in the spring for our annual 3-day company retreat.

For our in-office and hybrid employees, our offices are open all week. We provide meals on Tuesdays and Thursdays and there are regular happy hours, game nights, and other in-person events.

Remote work at Check requires the ability to perform all responsibilities without distraction or disruption, while maintaining quality, effective communication, and productivity.

  • Check is proud to be an Equal Opportunity employer. We do not discriminate based on race, religion, color, national origin, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, gender expression, transgender status, sexual stereotypes, age, status as a protected veteran, status as an individual with a disability, or other applicable legally protected characteristics. We also consider qualified applicants with criminal histories, provided they are consistent with applicable federal, state, and local laws. Check is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for candidates with disabilities in our recruiting process.

    Supply & Logistics Coordinator
    • Nabu Casa
    • Roma, Roma, Lazio, Italia
analyst teaching customer support data science

    Spain: 49.000 - 68.000 EUR

    UK: 56.200 - 74.000 GBP

    • Other countries: Compensation can be discussed during the first interview.
